KASC Ph.D Biotechnology: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Application form and Prospectus for M.Phil. (FT/PT) and Ph.D. (FT/PT) programs can be downloaded from the Bharathiar University’s official website.  Here are the steps to download the application form:

1. Go to the official website of Bharathiar University. (Link Above)
2. Click on ‘Academic’ tab and click on ‘Research Programs’.
3. Now, click on the form that you need to download.
4. The form will open in a pdf format, save it and take a print out of it.
5. Finally, fill the form carefully after going through all the instructions.

Application Fee:

• Cost of Application for M.Phil. - Rs.500/-
• Cost of Application for Ph.D. - Rs. 600/-

Payment Methods:

The above said application fees payable in the form of Demand Draft (from any nationalized bank) / Challan (Bank of India) shall be drawn in favor of the ‘The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore’ and made payable in ‘Coimbatore’.(Name of the candidate should be furnished at the back side of the DD).

Note:

• If a candidate applies for more than one college, he/she has to pay the cost of application Rs.500/- for M.Phil. And Rs.600/- for Ph.D. program for each application.
• The Application form consists of two copies (First Copy and Second Copy).

For admission to university departments:

First copy (without any enclosures) has to be sent to The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46 and second copy (all attested Xerox copies of testimonials from 10th standard onwards along with original Demand Draft) has to be sent to the HOD of the concerned Department of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46.

For admission to affiliated colleges of Bharathiar University/ Approved Research Institute:

First copy with original Demand Draft (without any enclosures) has to be sent to The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46 and second copy (all attested Xerox copies of testimonials from 10th standard onwards) has to be sent to the Principal / Director of concerned College / Institution.

The filled in applications should reach to the University and concerned college on or before September 15, 2016 at 5.00 pm

The candidates should have passed a post-graduate degree course either with SSLC + HSC + UG +PG (i.e., 10 + 2 + 3 + 2) or with 11-years SSLC + PUC + UG + PG (i.e., 11 + 1 + 3 + 2) or with 10-years SSLC + 3 years Diploma + 2 years UG degree + 2 years PG (i.e., 10 + 3 + 2 + 2) or with 10 years SSLC + HSC + 4 years UG degree and 1 year PG degree (i.e., 10 + 2 + 4 + 1). Thus, only the candidates possessing a PG degree with 17 years of total duration of study alone are eligible for admission to the Ph. D., programme.

Admission: Through NET/INSPIRE or through Common Entrance Test (CET) entrance exam conducted by the Bharathiar University followed by an interview

Kongunadu Arts and Science College runs full-time and part-time M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs with 12 specializations in each course. M.Phil. program is of 1-year and Ph.D. course is of 3-years. Candidates with PG Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University are considered eligible for admission to both M.Phil. and Ph.D. program.

Admission to any Doctoral program is given on the basis of candidate’s merit in the PG Degree course and their performance in the entrance test and interview round conducted by the college as per the instructions of Bharathiar University.
