SMR College of Education is self-financed College situated in city Pudukkottai state of Tamil Nadu. The college has received no-objection Certification from the State Government of Tamil Nadu and from the inspection of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); New Delhi to get the recognition and it is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education Chennai. The college aim is to produce sincere, hard-working, dedicated and competent primary and elementary school teachers, who can try new creative, innovative things and practices in their classrooms.

The college surrounded by the beautiful serene & sylvan. And college has provided a spacious laboratory for the Teacher-Trainees to learn, practice. The library with great number of books of various disciplines and newspapers, monthly magazines are available for the students.
