A very good place to experience and explore.

Likes

They provide you a lot of events which I appreciate but they also take entry fees by the JNC students to attend their own college fear.
You will get to explore other country by international trips and also the passport will be provided by the college by conducting Visa interviews.
The infrastructure is good and the campus is also good but the library is more nicer.

Dislikes

Waiting in a line and sitting for hours in library or paying a lot of money to get your hall tickets to write the sem exams due to shortage of attendance
Getting few teachers whose lectures or explanations you can understand.
Your not informed about the event on time or earlier.

Admission:

I chose this college with the reference from my parents and friends. I didn't apply to any other college and i chose this because one thing it's a girls college. As a co-ed student I wanted to experience a girls college vibe. There's no writing exams to get admission into this college the first thing. I applied for this college only by filling the admission form and then i got a call by the college office staff and then when i came to college one of the teacher suggested me the course and I paid for that course. I got c BCom Tm because my percentage in 12th was 76. So they told me to take B.com TM. This is how I got into the college.

Likes

There are multiple clubs and houses such as House of Commerce and Management, Economics Club. You can also participate in the events organized by them.
There is a placement cell that provides training for interviews and aptitude exams.
There is focus on overall development as the teachers pussh us to participate in various events either as participants or as volunteers

Dislikes

There could have been more interactive learning where students would make projects or ppts rather than only the teachers teaching.

Admission:

We could do the admission offline or online. In online admission we get an email from the college with letter of acceptance. I specifically wanted a college with was Autonomous and the syllabus of this college aligned with my interests

I have only applied for this particular college and joined. This particular college is a girls college but has everything that the human does. There will be many co-curricular activites with the certificates this impressed a lot.

Likes

Use of slides, ppt, and other engaging sessions like talk shows and guest lectures
Clean campus, books are easily available in libraries. Frequent programs to engage students.
Good faculty members, specially english department

Dislikes

Admission:

To be honest, JNC was the only college I applied to when I came to Bangalore. I initially thought of applying for christ university but by the time I approached them, the admission process was already over. I'm glad the courses start a little late at jnc as compared to other colleges. In jnc, the admission process involves two major processes right after you graduate. You need to go for a walk in interview in the campus, however for me, i requested for an online interview as I was not able to be physically present. They accepted my request and an online exam was held specially for me. Roopa ma'am was the one to send me the set of questions and the one who evaluated me. A few days after, I got a mail that I was accepted for the course.

The appreciate about the events that happening which is very usefull for student's to take part and to face the audience
My campus life with mu friends are unforgettable and alsoo we have lot off spotss which give us fresh mind blowing things
The quality of infrastructure are okayyy

They doesn't give any proper information on time
They doesn't guide things on time its hard for us to prepare

Admission:

I did not apply for any other college becuz therre was no second option in my mind i just want to go with jnc since becuz i have done my pu in the same institution it was one of my comfortable zone and i want to join in girls college

Likes

Nice environment, lecturers are friendly, if you feel bored in classes you can let your teacher know about it and go out for a while, if we have any doubts at any point of time you can easily reach out to lecturers, they do not say no for it.

Dislikes

Hygiene is less, they need to focus on it and also washrooms are to be cleaned regularly.

Admission:

I applied to christ university college but cut off percentage there was 92% for our batch but my score was 87% in 12th, so that i dint get selected to the christ university and then i applied to the Jyoti nivas college there cut off was 85% so i was selected and pursed my b. Com there.

I liked the freedom that we got. We had our own freedom to say and do what we want
I liked how the faculty were friendly and ready to help us

Dislikes

I hated how unorganised it was. They would keep postponing certain things and tell things in the last min

Admission:

I had to choice. The course that I wanted was in this college and my parents weren't ready to send me to any further place. Even tho I got into a really good college in Pune I wasn't allowed and I got into st. Joseph's but I wasn't sure if i wanted to join there cause I was a lil doubtful about their course so my last and my only option was JNC

Jnc nice college

Likes

The thing i like the most is campus is cozy and things are affordable inside , you have sick room as well as atm inside plus the teachers are super nice and friendly towards students
The teaching methods are very deep and effective and teachers are open to any topic and challenge plus the college keeps introducing new topic and subject every semester to keep us updated like GK , cyber crime, finance etc.
It is a girls college and seeing the increase number of crimes in India against women we feel really safe in the campus

Dislikes

Meanwhile the campus is cozy it doesn’t have much places to roam around or sit or spend quality time
The management of the college needs to be improved they fail to update us on many topics and even fail to provide us enough information leaving us to rely on ourselves
The college doesn’t provide much leaves or holidays the schedule is very tight and fixed it starts from 8 to 4 and only holiday we get is either on Sundays or Christmas.

Admission:

Jyoti Nivas is a minority college that was my first reason to opt for this specific college plus it's women only and a charitable college and the other thing is the department of history the hod is the most efficient one u can find in Bangalore , even professors in colleges like Joseph have not even completed their phd yet but here u will get well learned faculty and the other thing is college is very affordable as compared to others in colleges like Christ we are supposed to pay around 1 lakh yearly but here it's only 30 thousand, I applied to other colleges but as the deadlines for all the colleges were almost over so i got reply frok only mew minority colleges one of them being kristu jyanti

Life at JNC as an Arts Student

Likes

The college had a very loving and warm atmosphere which I miss even years after graduating.
The teachers are so endearing and care not only about how we do education wise but also personally.
College life was very lively and there was something happening every other day.

Dislikes

The long working days (from 8AM till 4PM).
Little exposure compared to other colleges.
Too many activities restricted to JNC students and not enough intercollegiate activities.

Admission:

Though it is a small college compared to all the other popular colleges in Bangalore, the campus and word-of-mouth from alumni really convinced me. I was looking for a place where I'd be at peace and also be able to thrive, and I achieved just that at JNC. I applied during the pandemic in 2020, so the entire admission process was carried out online.

Our JNC

Likes

Our college has best infrastructure & cool managements. Huge admission blocks, play ground
We will be having huge cultural activities, social activities like orphanage visit / social clubs etc also we often do social services like collecting funds to needed people
Teachers are very friendly , teaching method is awesome library has very huge collection of books .

Dislikes

Fee is so high, it could be less so midclass people will get opportunities
Classes where kept up to 3:00 where we could not spend more time with frnds
Building infrastructure was re constructed during our class, which was very disturbing to us in class, especially we need to change lift . Twice we got stocked on it

Admission:

It was my dream to appoint in this. College , basically admission will be very difficult in this campus. It will be considered based on your pic percentage. If you get above 95 seats will be easy to access . We need to collect the forms at admin block for around 1500 we need to fill all the basic info & attach over mark sheet xerox to it and submit it . If we get the seat our names will be displayed after 3-4 days on board later we need to get quotation from admin block & pay the fees at one short / 2 short at bank later we need to collect the challen & approve it on admin office it's done
