During high school, I started getting interested in different theories in Philosophy and learning & studying foreign languages which I chose this course. Honestly, I didn't feel my curriculum prepared me for real-world applications or academic pursuits. It was my French professor who gave us advice on how to choose which path we would like to go and what steps to take. I would suggest better courses in our curriculum to help students further navigate their academic pursuits. Some professors have a good teaching method by being interactive with the students while others have a much more traditional and unenthusiastic way of teaching which can come off as rather boring. Our exams would happen after every 5-6 months, we would get 3 hours to write our exam. The difficulty level for my course is not that hard, anyone who pays enough attention with a few days of studying can easily pass or score well in the exams.

The course curriculum is very good. The area of improvement in the course is there are a very large amount of students in class and there is only one teacher to handle it. They should be divided into 2 or 3 parts means they should increase the faculty members. The timing of the exam is not satisfying sometimes the teachers come 10-15 minutes late.

toi choose this course was my own interests. I was fascinated by pasts ,and liked to much to always know more backstories thats what influenced me to pursue this. This curriculum by making me more knowledgeable about history making me presently generally aware about globally helps me to interact with more people. The area of improvement would be where teachers teach us about more basics because jump from school to college makes us realize the study are on another level. The can never be enough for a student, but i did say they are kept according to their level means they are perfect. Exams and timing with my course to talk in specific which makes us writ 6 pages at least reall helps me in writing technique for future.
I chose this course because I was interested in political science nd sociology Ratio was good enough All teachers did there ph.d It was semester wise nd they were not very tough.
The Fee structure is feasible and very affordable according to facilitaties which are provided by the college. There is no additional fees charged in the admission but fine of Re. 1/- per day will be charged after the date on which fees are due. Yes the college does provide transparency in fee breakdown.
Yes, every faculty teaches wholeheartedly and the course is up to date. Academics are perfect here in JMC. Dr. Preeti Ghosh for philosophy for eg. They all make sure that they teach well and do everything to provide education.

I have friends from both St. Stephens and JMC. Here are a few of the information that I got from them.
Now coming to the courses, in English honors, you will learn about a myriad of texts from different countries and different time periods. However, you will have to spend your three years around poetry and prose. You won’t get to experience much diversity when it comes to subjects. For the BA program, however, you can choose all subjects from Social Science. There are many combinations that you can opt for.
So, I will suggest that you choose the program which will keep you interested for the next three years. College life will be similar irrespective of the institute. Also, gone are the days when students with honors degrees were treated superior to the students who pursued programs.
I have friends from both JMC and DCAC. Based on their experience, I will say DCAC is a better option.
JMC is definitely a reputed college, however, in comparison, DCAC is better.
