JMC Delhi Admission 2025

JMC offers admission in various courses at the UG and PG levels based on scores in entrance exams, followed by counseling conducted by Delhi University. JMC Delhi Admissions for various courses are as follows-

JMC offers admission to its UG courses through the CUET UG exam. After that, Candidates must register on the Delhi University CSAS portal, fill in their details, and select JMC along with their preferred courses. Admission is based on CUET scores and the merit list prepared by the university.
Christian candidates must appear for the CUET UG exam and register on the CSAS portal. Admission is based on 85% CUET score and 15% interview.

Faculty is fairly good. The department of Commerce faculty are exceptional, the teaching methods are not monotonous, it's engaging, friendly and motivating ~ Review Ninja, B.Com {Hons.}
The crowd at JMC is mixed, but if you are able to find your group, then the experience can be very rewarding. JMC is filled with talented individuals, in fields of dance, music, arts, scholastic, etc. You get to learn a lot and have fun ~ Review Ninja, B.Com {Hons.}
There are numerous clubs and societies, cultural and Academic field oriented. Tonnes of opportunities are provided for growth, overall personality development, good work culture and ethics. ~ Review Ninja, B.Com {Hons.}

Dislikes

There are a lot of restrictions for college fests. Artist lineup is not good from the past 2 years. Overall scope of fest at JMC are very limited and stringent ~ Review Ninja, B.Com {Hons.}

Likes

Our college lies in VIP area in Delhi which is chanakyapuri so it is very safe for women and the campus is very neat and clean.
Our college provides various internship and seminar opportunities for career growth and also has good infrastructure.
The crowd of our college consists of high rankers and has elite students.

Dislikes

It is a girls college so interaction opportunities are less.
Metro station and bus stop is quite far so we always have to take auto rikshaws which charge a bit high

Student view on course curriculum

The course Curriculum provides us opportunity to choose our additional subjects which makes the curriculum interesting and relevant to students. Curriculum is mostly theoretical which does not gives us an idea about practical world however under the new education policy and the credit based system , one year of research is introduced into the curriculum recently.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

Department of commerce, Jesus and Mary has recently come up with an option that students can choose internship in lieu of one subject which is Skill enhancement Course(SEC). The Placement Cell of our college is very active and they come up with great internship opportunities time to time. Many students are doing internship through the college and recieve certificates after that.

Placement provided by the college and average package

Our college offers a lot of placement opportunities with majorly ranges from 3LPA to 21 LPA in Bcom hons. Average package is 6LPA. The best placement opportunities in our college is offered by department of commerce which has the highest package among all the other departments. However the percentage of students getting placements is less , and only those students are offered a good placement who have acquired skills outside of the course.

Total course fees and provided scholarship

The fees structure in Jesus and Mary ranges from 20,000-25000 depending on the course selected. Those courses which require technical expertise usually have a high fee as compared to others (BSC CS). Our college also offers fee concession so students can also apply for that. Students with top the batch get scholarships under the scheme of Delhi University. Students who have applied through sports quota and Christian quota have also same fee structure.

College fest and various activities

I really like the Campus of our college it is very clean . Infrastructure of our college is very nice it has a separate building for auditorium and Library and Admin block. Our college is known for their college Fest which is MONTAGE. Many students from other colleges come and participate in our events and win prizes. Our college encourages extracurricular activities and it encourages students to engage in sports activities. Our college has a sports room for sports students and it also have GYM for sportsperson witha nominal Fee of 500 rupees for sports students and 1000 for normal students . It also has all the equipments and a trainer. There are separate coaches for different sports and Handball team of our college is well known. There are many active societies in our college which work more than college ours for practising.

Student views on the faculty and exams

Faculty of Jesus and Mary college is top notch. Most of the teachers have qualified from Delhi University only. Faculty is very friendly and they help us out in any situation. Teachers are actively involved in student relations and guide them time to time. Faculty of Department of Commerce is excellent however some teachers are very strict and rude. The college Follows Semester system so there are exams when the Semester ends and they are quite easy and questions are very similar to the topics taught. Pass percentage is around 90% in our college.

Admission process of the college

I had applied to around 70 college of Delhi University and I had also applied to some colleges of IP University. The reason I chose this college was because of its brand value and because of its location. I live near the college so it is convenient for me to travel everyday. I had chosen this college because it offers the course I wanted in a reasonable price and considering that it is one of the top colleges of the Best university in India . I couldn't make it to other colleges of Delhi University due to my CUET score which was 742, although I was offered ARSD college but I chose this one because it has better crowd and placement package. JMC is not of the top college of DU for girls and is endowed with good infrastructure and quality of education. The admission process is according to DU only. Cut offs depends on CUET and the overall admission experience is smooth.

The best thing about the college is that it has amazing infrastructure

Attendance is very serious and is marked for.

I applied for Maitreyi college for Eco hons and JMC for Bcom Hons. My first preference was the course. The other factors included the infrastructure and the brand name. The admission was based on 12th board cutoffs. They have a separate form of admission from DU. So people usually forget to fill it

I have applied in Maitry, kalindi, Hansraj and others also. But as cut off comes I have selected the JMC and Maitry . As you all know both the college place in the same area , so after reaching there I have seen the long line at Maitrey, that's why I chose JMC. After studying there I can say I have taken right decision unconsciously.

Jesus and Mary College is one of the most prestigious colleges at Delhi University and has an impressive student-teacher ratio and a very dedicated faculty. I had applied to Sri Venkateshwara College and JMC and I got accepted at both the colleges but I chose JMC considering all the factors. Like Saint Stephens College, JMC also functions on its own but works with the UGC. JMC accepts the CUET exam for course eligibility and cut-offs differ in each course.

my first preference was LSR but i didnt get in and my second option was JMC i got this in the third round of alllocation in the first round of allocation i got IPCW for the same couse psychology hons but i didnt freeze my seat and went for an upgrade because JMC was a better college and it was near my house like literally 10 mins away so i wanted JMC only. i had applied to IIMs for the integrated 5 year course but i didnt get in because maybe the field wasnt for me and the entrance was very tough. i got in SCMS noida for BBA but i didnt go there because that was my back up option. to get addmission in du you need to give CUET. And give the exams of the subjects which are required for the coure you want to pursue. the addmission experience was great you get updated through the website itself the cutoff was very high like very high

Then I got shortlisted for Jesus and Mary College admission process was very smooth and easy it was one day process within an hour I was free and from the next day onwards my classes started when I first visited to Jesus and Mary college it was very pretty campus. the eligibility of Jesus and Mary is you have to get our 85% in your c u e t and you have to score well in your 12th board exam. My score in c u e t was 92.8% and I got shortlisted for Jesus and Mary College my course is BA programme in Spanish and sociology.

The fee per year for the BCom course is INR 21,330 at the JMC, New Delhi. The total fee is INR 63,990. Admission to all the courses is based on merit. The merit will be decided on the basis of the percentage secured in the Best Four subjects in the 10+2 examinations. Percentage will be calculated on the basis of English and three other academic subjects. All subjects to be included in the calculation of ‘Best Four’ must have at least a 70% theory component of the exam. If the subject to be considered does not have a 70% theory component and 30% practical component, then the marks of theory and practical shall be converted to 70% and 30%, respectively on a pro-rata basis.
