Isabella Thoburn College, also known as Isobella Thoburn Degree College, is the first Christian college for women in South Asia. The college comprises two separate academic units inside its campus : Degree Course Section and Technical & Manaement Course Section. The Degree College, established in 1886 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, introduced its Technical & Manaement Course Section (known as Isabella Thoburn College Professional Studies ) in 2017. The Degree Course section is affiliated to Lucknow University and recognized by the UGC , while the Technical & Manaement Course section is affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and approved by AICTE. NAAC has accredited the instituition with an ‘A’ grade. In 2025, Collegedunia has ranked the college 87 in Science and 81 in Commerce, its two most popular schools of education.
