IT college needs improvement in many main aspects though it is a good college

The college is dedicated to the welfare of its students. It provides comprehensive support services such as career counselling, placement assistance and guidance for higher studies.

In fifth semester students have to do internships of 30 to 45 days, which helps in overall personality enhacement of the students. as for the placements, the offered placements are not very good both quantity and quality wise.

This college does not provide any placement for any course such as ba, BSc, BCom except for the students of MBA. However, the college does help students in finding the internship in their last year of college through The placement for MBA is approx 99 to 100%. My plans after getting qualified with this degree is pretty much clear i want to appear for the UPSC exam as my interest is into civils.

Every student opts for a higher degree here. So I haven't heard that any student got placed from our college. However, interviews are held by many companies like Oracle and all. Many of us also participated in them, while many others didn't participate. We weren't serious about placements enough because every one of us wanted to opt for M.Sc or competitive government exams. I don't have any idea about students who have joined companies after qualifying in the interviews. Elements HR was the major recruiter of my batch. Average package was of 2-3 Lacs p. a for the B.Com graduate fresher. There was no internship criteria in B.Com course in my batch. Top roles which were offered were of HR, for BPOs also students were selected.

During a year, 5 to 6 company do visit in our college. Around 70 to 80 percent of students are placed. Our alumni on a average is good in networking students for job. I don't know much about the placement process but as far as I have seen and heard from other students, for placements our college is good, not really good but good. By our batch mates we with our head of economics department have started an initiative named E-padho where we got experience of teaching students through online mode.

Very hardly do we see such opportunities in our college. No faculty support in getting jobs. If one wants to work she will have to do everything by herself. Very few companies ever visit the college and even if they do, they just hire 4 to 5 students. I don't remember any such startup by any of my batchmates or seniors.

My course did not had any company visits or placements because we are supposed to do a 6 month internship in a hospital after masters before applying for jobs. For internship PGI chandigarh used to come and select some students for internship with them.

Placement is for MBA programme. But course helps you to pursue other course or for banking or government sector jobs which is okay. My plans is to change the my path and explore other best options which can help me to grow and allow more to that nothing can actually stop you to pursue your dreams

There's no surety of internship or placement provision. For 6 months internship, opportunity to give entrace exam of PGI Chandigarh is provided which is held in Delhi And selected students can pursue internship at PGI Chandigarh. The internship needs students to pay for it.

The great college

The internship provided by our college is the best for development of skills like communication skills, technical skills, development skills, leadership quality, team handling, pressure handling, etc. My role was to recruit people and guid them thoughout there journey.
