SCMHRD Admission Dates 2027

SCMHRD MBA 2027-29 admissions are anchored by SNAP 2026. All three MBA programmes use the same SNAP score for shortlisting. No management quota exists. After SNAP, SCMHRD conducts its GE-PIWAT (Group Exercise and Personal Interaction with Written Ability Test) round at the Hinjewadi campus.

EMBA applications have a separate timeline and are based on GMAT or SNAP scores. The table below summarises the exam and admission route for all SCMHRD programmes.

SCMHRD Courses and Fees

SCMHRD Pune offers three MBA programmes, an EMBA, and Management Development Programmes for corporates. The fees below are for domestic (Indian) students for the full 2-year programme.

The MBA (General Management) is SCMHRD’s flagship programme, with the strongest HR, strategy, and BFSI sector placement track record. MBA (Infrastructure Management) at INR 17,28,300 offers the lowest entry fee among the three MBA tracks and is specifically designed for careers in infrastructure, urban management, and real estate. Hostel accommodation is available with annual fees ranging from INR 84,500 to INR 1,12,500 per year.

SCMHRD Admission Process

SCMHRD operates a fully merit-based selection process with no management quota. The selection formula for final admission is: SNAP score (50 marks weighted) + Group Exercise (10 marks) + Personal Interaction and Written Ability Test (40 marks) = 100 marks total.

MBA Admission Process

• Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST). No stream restriction.
• Qualifying exam: Valid SNAP score. SNAP is conducted 3 times each December. The best score across all attempts is used.
• SCMHRD SNAP cutoff: MBA (General Management) requires 97 percentile. MBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Infrastructure Management) require 94 percentile.
• GE-PIWAT: Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT) are conducted at the SCMHRD campus in Hinjewadi, Pune.
• NRI seats: Available across all three MBA tracks. NRI candidates may use SNAP or GMAT scores. Contact SCMHRD admissions for NRI process details.

EMBA Admission

The EMBA at SCMHRD is for working professionals with a minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience after graduation. Candidates may use GMAT or SNAP scores. The selection process includes an application review and interview. Apply at scmhrd.edu.

SCMHRD Placements

SCMHRD Pune placement 2025 (2023-25 batch) reported the highest package of INR 35.9 LPA. The average MBA package stood at INR 21.47 LPA and the median at INR 20 LPA. Over 118 companies participated in the placement process.

BFSI was the top-hiring sector at 30.11% of total offers. Engineering and manufacturing contributed 12.5% and consulting contributed 11.93%. IT and analytics, FMCG, healthcare management, and infrastructure sectors also maintained active recruitment at SCMHRD. Top BFSI recruiters include Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak, and leading insurance and asset management firms. Consulting placements include firms such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and Accenture.

The MBA (Infrastructure Management) batch is placed primarily in real estate, construction, urban planning, and government infrastructure bodies alongside private consulting. The MBA-BA batch sees analytics, IT, and BFSI sector demand. SCMHRD’s HR management reputation draws dedicated HR function roles at Tata, Mahindra, Wipro, and Infosys group companies.

SCMHRD Rankings

SCMHRD Pune is consistently ranked among the top 15 management institutes in India. The institute participates in NIRF under the Management category.

The parent institution, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), holds NAAC "A++" grade accreditation. SCMHRD programmes are AICTE-approved. SCMHRD vs SIBM Pune vs XIMB Bhubaneswar

Aspirants who clear SNAP in the 94 to 97 percentile range often compare SCMHRD Pune, SIBM Pune (also SNAP-based, higher NIRF rank), and XIMB Bhubaneswar (XAT-based, comparable NIRF band). All three are prominent private B-schools in the INR 18 to 27 Lakh fee range.

SIBM Pune reports a higher average package and draws from a similarly SNAP-based applicant pool at a comparable fee point. XIMB Bhubaneswar offers a lower fee structure and is XAT-based. SCMHRD’s distinct strength is the MBA (Infrastructure Management) track, which has no direct equivalent at SIBM or XIMB. SCMHRD’s BFSI and HR placement depth is well-regarded among Pune B-schools.
