RV Institute of Management is presently accepting applications for its flagship MBA and PGDBA programs for the 2025–2026 academic year.. The institute offers admissions under both Government Quota and Management Quota.
Government Quota seats candidates must appear for Karnataka-PGCET conducted by KEA. Eligible candidates are allotted seats based on PGCET ranks through centralized counselling. Management Quota admissions candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) and must have appeared in one of the recognized national-level entrance tests such as MAT, CAT, CMAT, ATMA or KMAT.
These candidates are required to apply online through RV Institute of Management website pay the application fee and appear for RV Institute of Management Aptitude Test and Personality Skill Test (Essay Test). Shortlisted candidates are then invited for the Group Discussion/Extempore and Personal Interview which may be conducted in either online or offline mode based on mutual convenience. Final selection is based on entrance test scores performance in RV Institute of Management internal tests, interview rounds and document verification. Admission confirmations are provided on the same day as the interview.
The cutoff for RV Institute of Management based on previous year data indicates that the Karnataka-PGCET 2024 closing rank for the GM category was 76. In previous years closing ranks were 176 (2023) and 253 (2022). For the management quota the accepted MAT and ATMA scores are generally above the 60 percentile applicable across all MBA specializations including Finance, Marketing, HR and Business Analytics.
