Kousali Institute of Management Studies is a private institute established in 1976 and affiliated to Karnataka University. The college is situated in Dharwad, Karnataka.

The institute offers management courses at PG and Ph.D. levels. MBA is offered with an intake of over 100 seats. The Ph.D. course is conducted by VTU and KIMS serves as a research center for the same.

• For the PG courses, the candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• All MBA candidates must have a valid PGCET score.
• Candidates must have scored a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at the Master’s degree.
• It is compulsory to take the VTU Research Aptitude Test (VRAT) to be applicable for Ph.D.

KIMS Dharwad Admission Highlights 2024

Kousali Institute of Management Studies offers a course in Business Administration at PG level. The MBA program is conducted under the Karnataka University. 

Eligibility: The basic eligibility criteria for the courses is a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.

Selection Criteria: All admissions are based on merit in the PGCET conducted by VTU.

Note: Students from any stream can apply.

KIMS Dharwad MBA Admissions How to Apply?

Students can download the form from the college website and the duly filled-in application form, along with all enclosures including Bank acknowledgment of having paid Application Processing fee and Entrance Test fees online shall be submitted to the Chairman of the college at K.U. Dharwad.

The Application Processing fee and Entrance test fees shall be paid online. The application fee is INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST candidates).

Apart from offering courses at the PG level, the college also offers a Ph.D. in Management. The basic eligibility criteria for the courses is a Master’s degree. All admissions are based on merit in the VTU Research aptitude test.

Key points:

• A candidate belonging to SC/ST/Category-I/ differently-abled or any other reserved category shall have relaxation of 5% or equivalent grade in the minimum prescribed qualification level for the general category.
• Foreign candidates for Full-Time – Special Ph.D. program shall have obtained their UG and/or PG Degrees in the appropriate branch from a recognized university.
• All foreign candidates should have passed an English proficiency test.

KIMS Dharwad Ph.D Admissions How to Apply?

• The application for Ph.D program of KIMS Dharwad can be downloaded from VTU’s website.
• The filled-in application has to be submitted to the university in the prescribed format with the necessary documents
• The application fee is INR 800 and should be submitted via DD.
• The DD should be made in favor of “The Finance Officer, VTU, Belagavi”.
