International Institute of Management Sciences Kolkata Course Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

International Institute of Management Sciences (IIMS) is a pioneer management institute based in Howrah, West Bengal. It was established in the year 1979 and the institute is currently affiliated to Vidyasagar University for conducting the MBA course. 

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programs offered by IIMS must apply online through AIMA/ WBUT-JEMAT website. IIMS, Kolkata requires a minimum educational qualification of bachelor’s degree as the basic eligibility criteria.

Further, the admissions to the eligible candidates will be granted on the basis of AIMA MAT score and its respective counselling. West Bengal candidates who have appeared for JEMAT are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview and counselling.

Eligibility:

The basic eligibility criteria for admission is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized board or university. 

Selection Criteria:

Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in AIMA MAT or WBUT-JEMAT and their respective counselling.

Key points:

• Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. Such candidates are however provided provisional admission until all relevant documents are submitted.
• JEMAT candidates must attend the GDPI session and counselling in order to be eligible for admission.
• The application fee for JEMAT candidates belonging to the open category is INR 600 and for reserved category candidates, the fee is INR 300.

IIMS Kolkata accepts applications for admission to its program through MAT conducted by AIMA and JEMAT conducted by WBUT. The following is the detailed application process:

Application through AIMA-MAT

• The online application form can be accessed by visiting the official AIMA website.
• Applicants are required to submit all required information including educational details, contact information etc.
• Scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature must be uploaded while filling out the application form.
• After completing the application form, candidates can pay the application fee of INR 1652 fee online through Net Banking or Credit/ Debit Card. The application fee can also be paid via demand draft drawn in favor of AIMA, payable at New Delhi.
• Once the application fee has been paid online, candidates must take a printout of the confirmation page and fee payment receipt for future correspondence.
• Candidates who have opted to pay the application fee via demand draft must send along a copy of the printout of the completed application form to AIMA.

Application through JEMAT

• Candidates can visit the JEMAT website and fill the online application form.
• Application fee can be paid only via credit/debit card or net banking methods.
• Candidates must take a printout of the completed application form and send a hard copy of the same to WBUT to reach on or before the last date.

Note: JEMAT candidates must attend the GD-PI session and counselling conducted by the board in order to be eligible for admission.

• SSC, HSC and Graduation mark sheets
• SSC, HSC and Graduation passing certificates
• Migration Certificate
• CET Score card
• Minority Quota/ Caste Certificate
• Gap Certificate wherever applicable
• Domicile Certificate
• Any other document deemed necessary
