Placement Experience:

I am settled in Pune and considering the covid scenario and placement and hiring situation, the placement and package though not exemplary is satisfactory. The overall preparedness for the job is also good as it did not become hard for me to adapt.

I don't have much to share about placements as I got selected in an organisation directly just after the 3rd Semester. The Institute thus provide the placements to the students as per their skillsets and interest. College also provides training and mock interview sessions for the students.

Placement Experience:

The placements are the added start to the Institute. The season starts in Trimester IV. Companies line up one after the other for the season. The best part that I like is I got to sit for companies even after I got placed from campus. Companies from all domains viz. The banking sector, NBFI's, research & consulting, Human resources, Sales & Marketing came to take students. Brands like Amul, Godrej, Berger Paints, Amazon Flipkart, Deloitte, Khimji Ramdas Group, Bajaj, Nestle etc are regular here.

Remarks:

College has best placements in the region. And also it was taking direct admissions. I missed the entrance exams so the only options for me were private colleges which take direct admissions. It has the best placement among the private colleges. IMS ghaziabad only has two courses MCA and PGDM. There is no BTech so there is more opportunity to get placed. In a college with BTech, BCA and MCA courses it becomes hard for BCA and MCA students to get shortlisted as companies will mostly consider Btech students. Really good management. Placement process is good. lots of learning. Experienced teachers. Almost everytime some technical or activities, seminars, visits, etc keep on happening which widens the learning of students.Admission process -It is simple, you can either take direct admission or fill up the entrance form of NIMCET or UPSEE and get admissions on the basis or rank.Cons of this Institution, Not all teachers are expert in their subjects they tend to get confused over various topics. Not much of a competitive environment. Campus is too small.

What is your review of Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad?

Sapna Malik
Khushi SharmaBJMC from Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (2019)

One of my cousins studied at the Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad. According to him, it is not a good institute, he suggests not to go for it. Let me describe why he feels this way.

  • It provides 100% placement, but the majority of companies that come here are looking for sales aspirants. The packages are also inadequate, ranging from 3-5 LPA.
  • The teaching is good. There would be constant group discussions and presentations.
  • Academics do not have much value because just good grades will not get you a job. You need proper skills too.
  • The college has been around for nearly 30 years and still cannot attract good companies. This clearly demonstrates how inept this college has been as they have been busy swindling out money from people by making false claims.

Complaints from many students like my cousin were never taken into consideration. They have spent a lot of money here, and this is the response they get from the administration.

The only good thing about this college is that they offer a Study Tour to Singapore. Honestly, it is better to remain an undergraduate or take a year off to retake the CAT and other aptitude exams in order to join a good institute.
