Institute of Business Management and Research [IBMR] Pune, was founded in 1984. The Institute is permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, DTE and Government of Maharashtra.

IBMR offers a 2-year-long full-time MBA program with various specializations.
To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, the candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for reserved categories) from a recognized university is required for the MBA program.
Admission to MBA courses will be given on the grounds of merit in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

Candidates securing negative or zero scores in CMAT or in CAT / MAT / ATMA / XAT / Association CET/Any other equivalent CET will not be eligible to get admission to an MBA course.

IBMR Pune MBA Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of merit in the MAH-CET conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

Candidates possessing a valid score in CAT/MAT/CMAT need not appear for MAH-CET.

MAH-CET Cut Off (Percentile): 76%ile

Exam Pattern

The entrance test is conducted online.
MAH-CET is of two and half hour duration and it is conducted across the country.
MAH-CET is followed by CAP which is a counseling process conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

The registration for MAH-CET is done through the online mode only. Candidates must visit the official website of DTE Maharashtra to avail the application form.

Click on “Apply Now”
Register by entering the required information.
After submitting the required details, the application number of the applicant will be generated.
Upload the scanned documents:
- Photograph
- Signature
Proceed to the application form:
- Enter the personal and academic details
- Provide contact details
Pay the fees via the payment gateway.
The fee must be paid online.
Submit the form.

Application Fee: INR. 1000/- (INR. 800/- for reserved category candidates)

Ques. Where is the institute located?

Ans. The institute is located in Pune near Mumbai - Bangalore Highway, Opposite old Wakad Police Chowkey, Wakad, Pune, Maharashtra.

Ques. Does the institute accept CAT scores?

Ans. Yes, the institute does accept a valid CAT score. The candidates possessing a valid CAT/CMAT/XAT score will be exempted from the MAH-CET exam, however, they must appear for the counseling session.

My Journey with IBMR

Admission:

Admissions are granted on the basis of merit in the MAH CET exam. Though, admissions are granted on the basis of merit in the graduation marks and entrance exam scores. After getting shortlisted, I appeared for the interview round and Group discussion, which was pretty easy for me as I was practicing for the interview round and giving mock interviews.

Admission:

Students with a valid graduation degree with at least 50% marks can apply to the PGDM program. Admissions are granted here on the basis of marks in the entrance exam and performance GDPI rounds. The overall entire admission process was pretty smooth.

Admission:

I gave MAH-CET exam and applied at the college with my exam scores and graduation marks and achievements. I was invited for the counseling round, which consisted of a one-on-one round with the faculty of our department. The entire process went pretty smoothly and I was glad I opted for this college.

Admission:

Once you clear the Maharashtra CET, you have to Undergo a group discussion and a personal interview and based on your merits you get college among your set of preferred choices. The college was among the top 3 of my choice and I was very glad as I got through. Also there are 3 rounds for you being selected and getting a seat. Then there is management quota but it is a bigger bet and not quite affordable.

Excellent education hub.

This was a decent college with nominal fee also the teaching facility is from very strong induatry and teaching background and helps students in understanding the subject.
