GITAM School of Business MBA Eligibility

To apply for the MBA course, candidates must possess the following eligibility:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• Also, they must have secured merit in GAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/NMAT
• Final year candidates can also apply, provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by August.

GITAM School of Business MBA Selection Criteria

• GITAM-HBS shortlist candidates based on their score in GAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/NMAT conducted by the institute.
• The institute will call shortlisted applicants for PI and GD rounds.
• After the above rounds, candidates will be selected depending upon the Entrance Exam score, Academic Background and performance in GD and PI.
• Lastly, the institute publishes a merit list for selected candidates on the official website and offers letters will thereafter be dispatched for them.

• The NRI, sponsored and foreign candidates are required to appear in the GMAT exam to be eligible for the program.
• The candidates applying for an MBA can be from any stream like Humanities, Commerce, Engineering, Economics or Medicine.

The eligibility for Executive MBA is prescribed as follows:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Science/Economics/Maths/BBA
• Additionally, they must have 3 years of work experience in technology 
• Candidates with high communication skills are preferred.

• GITAM School of Business considers the Past Academic Record and Work Experience to select candidates for admission
• Those who get selected will be informed via email and phone.
• Further, the selected candidates will be allotted a roll number that will act as his or her identity for the course.

GITAM School of Business UG Selection Criteria

• GITAM School of Business shortlist candidates for UG program on the basis of class 12th score.
• The shortlisted candidates have to participate in PI round.
• The final selection is, therefore, based on the class 12th score and performance in PI.

Candidates who desire to take admission in Research Program can go through the details below:

There are 4 specializations in the Research program and they are:

• Human Resource
• Marketing
• Finance
• Information technology

Eligibility - The minimum requirement for Research Programs is candidates must have a Master’s degree or an equivalent Professional degree with 55% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent grade.

GITAM School of Business Research Program Criteria

• The shortlisting for Research Program is done on the basis of the Entrance Exam conducted by the University/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ICMR/GATE/GPAT/SLET.
• Those who score 50% or above in the entrance exam conducted by the university or have a valid score in the rest of the exams are invited for an Interview round.
• The final selection is based on the entrance exam score and performance in PI.
• GITAM-HBS will publish a merit list on the official website which will contain the names of all the selected students.

NOTE - Candidates who have a valid score in UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ICMR/GATE/GPAT/SLET/Teacher Fellowship degree holders, recognized Young Researcher by DST/ UGC/CSIR and Project Fellows working in the projects sponsored by national funding agencies, with a minimum of one year experience are exempted from Entrance Exam conducted by the University.
