As per GLIM Chennai Placement Report 2025, the highest package offered for PGDM is INR 39.3 LPA, the average package was INR 15 LPA and the average package for top 10% was INR 23.8 LPA. 27% of the offers came from the BFSI/NBFC sector, followed by 22% from the IT/ITeS sector.Finance roles constituted the largest proportion of Job offers at 33%, followed by Sales & Marketing at 32%.
The highest package offered for PGPM was INR 30.8 LPA, the average package was INR 17.8 LPA and the average package for top 10% was INR 28.6 LPA. 61% of the total job offers is from the consulting roles during the placement drive 2025 at GLIM Chennai.

Whether you join an IIM or Great Lakes Institute, both receive a limited number of US offers during placement season. As for off campus placements, IIM Shillong and Great Lakes are both average institutes. So the chances of getting a US based offer are further reduced.
The best option is to either opt for an MBA in the US itself, or to work for big names in India for a couple of years. This will help you build a strong resume, and get noticed by recruiters abroad.
