Should you pick PGDM in Insurance Business Management at BIMTECH?
This course suits students who want an insurance, reinsurance or banking job and are ready to live on campus for two years.
Pick it if:
You want an insurance or reinsurance job: Swiss Re, Munich Re, GIC Re, Tata AIG and Go Digit hire from this course every year.
You want a small batch: only 60 students sit in this course, so the placement team knows each one by name.
You want a room from day one: the course is fully residential, so every student gets a hostel room on campus.
You have not written CAT yet: the form opened before the exam, so apply early and add your score to it later.
Skip it if:
You want a marketing or consulting role: this course is built around insurance, and most of the batch goes into insurance and banking jobs.
You are paying the whole fee yourself: the course costs INR 13.30 Lakhs and the average pay is INR 10.59 LPA.
You are counting on a big first offer: the highest offer in this course was INR 14.50 LPA in the last batch.
You want to stay off campus: living in the hostel is part of the course, and you pay the mess charge with it.
Counsellor's advice
If you want an insurance or reinsurance job, apply early and take the seat when the offer comes. If you are still open on the sector, keep a general PGDM above it in your list.
