Placement figures keep changing every year. It really depends on that particular year's economic conditions and the situation in the job market. Internships are with major fin, Marketing and Info System companies. So are the placements. One issue is some over smart candidates dodging the placement committee and ending up with multiple offers which is a cause of worry for a few other deserving candidates.
