Yes, the college did provide the internship. It was a good learning experience. The average stipend was about 5000.

Internship programme was introduced in the syllabus as a mandatory programme and contains grades and credits. The students are required to prepare a detailed project and a detailed presentation explaining about the company and their experiences working there as an intern. At last, they are judged on the basis of the findings and learning produced by them in front of the faculty in project as well as in presentations.

The world's top leading companies has been coming to our college to grab the first bite and hire the fresh talent out of the college. They know the college's reputation and understand that the students has been molded pretty good for the corporate world. They give so good offers and packages that no student can deny their offer. The highest package was received by a student for rs 1350000 per year with additional health and travel benefits.

The placement opportunities are very good in this field. The application areas where students can apply are transaction processing like order processing, airline and railway reservations, banking systems, sales and analysis, accounting system, forecasting, games, simulation and database management system, decision support system, data communication and e-commerce facilities. 100% placement record is maintained by the college.

All the internships are done after the end of first year and the students will be asked to create an application based on the internship experience. This application will be the end result of their findings and learning in the internship program. The students will be graded and given credits accordingly. The students are also given stipend and certificates. A lot of students are offered a full time opportunity right after the internship.

A lot of graduates begin their careers in this field as associate programmers and after gaining some experience, then they are promoted to senior programmers, analysts, software testers etc. A lot of students pursue entrepreneurial roles in the computer world as their own startups in IT industry, software authors, consultants or equipment or system suppliers. A lot of career opportunities exist in areas such as management, software and hardware sales, technical skills, training other people on computers, consulting and technical support and software development.

Internship opportunities are given to all the students and they are required to work in a company with a very basic pay known as stipend. This way they can learn and understand about the field they have chosen and if it is good enough for their profile. At the end of the internship, all the students have to prepare a detailed project about their experience and learning and finding throughout the period. All the students willingly accept this internship programme.

Since the course is all about human resource development, we have been taught all about hiring and retaining and we have been trained a lot with a lot of mock interview sessions and we have been to a lot of live hiring events which have given us a lot of exposure as well as experience to perform better during the interview and get the best offer/opportunity available. I was proud to be a part of this institute. They helped me make a lot of connections in the industry.

The committee members of the placement office division are very enthusiastic and active and they want to make sure that the students of the college are placed in the leading companies and receives the best possible packages and offers. They have tied up with a lot of companies that comes every year and offer one of the competitive offers than the other companies. The college also provide training and development programmes before the interview session to help and understand the way to handle the situations in an interview.
