SIMS B.E. Eligibility Criteria

SIMS offers admission in B.E. program for four years in various streams mentioned below:

• Information Technology
• Electronics & Communication
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science Engineering

Admissions to these programs will be done on the basis of eligibility and selection criteria set by the college. In order to be eligible for the course, candidate must have passed higher Secondary examination of the (10+2) from CBSE or MP Board or any other examination equivalent there to with minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for OBC/ MBC and SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of subjects- Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry /Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology (Botany & Zoology).

SIMS B.E. Selection Criteria

• The selection in the BE course is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in JEE Mains. Candidates first have to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) organized by National Testing Agency (NTA).
• Those who qualified the examination have to register for the counselling process conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), MP.
• After registration, candidates have to appear in the counselling process along with all the necessary documents for verification.
• Admission to (SIMS) will be offered on the basis of candidates JEE Main score and preference made by them during the counselling process.

SIMS offers admission in M.Tech. Program for two years in various streams mentioned below:

• Industrial and Production Engineering
• Structural Engineering
• Embedded Systems
• Electronics & Communication
• Computer Science Engineering

SIMS M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed B.E /B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Communication Engineering / / Computer Science/ Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent examination from the reputed University or authority with at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

SIMS M.Tech Selection Criteria

• Admission to the M.Tech. course will be made through the centralized online admission system conducted by the government and private colleges of the department of higher education of the state.
• For the admissions, the candidates are required to first register themselves for the online admission system. Candidates have to clearly mention their subject group in which they want to seek admission while registering.
• Final Admission will be done on merit basis as per marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination.

SIMS PGDM Eligibility Criteria

• In order to be eligible for PGDM program, Candidates must be a graduate in any field or must have passed any equivalent examination from the reputed University or authority with at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.
• Also, a candidate is required to pass a written test organized by the institute or through any national level entrance examination like CAT, XAT, MAT etc.

SIMS PGDM Selection Criteria

• Admission to the PGDM course is made through a written test which is conducted by the Institute or through any National Level Management Entrance Exam (CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT and MET).
• Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the further admission process which includes Psychometric Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• Final selection will be made on the basis of summative score having weightage from the following field :
  • Admission Test - 50%
  • Psychometric Test - 15%
  • Group Discussion - 15%
  • Personal Interview - 15%
  • Application Rating - 5%

SIMS MBA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to pursue MBA at SIMS is that the candidate must be a graduate of any discipline under 10 + 2 + 3 systems from any reputed and recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in Arts, Commerce or Science degree / minimum of 50% marks in applicable years of study of Engineering or other professional UG degrees.

SIMS MBA Selection Criteria

• The selection in MBA programme is made on the basis of the score obtained by the candidate in CMAT examination. Candidates have to appear for CMAT. Application form of CMAT will be available on the official website of NTA.
• Final admission will be offered to the candidates on merit basis as per their CMAT score.
