SR Group of Institutions Jhansi Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

SR Institute of Management and Technology offers the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree programme at the undergraduate level. The B.Tech programme is offered under major branches of Engineering (ECE, EE, CSE, ME, IT, CE) including Agriculture Engineering and Biotechnology. The duration of all the B.Tech specializations is four years. The intake capacity varies for different specializations.

In order to get admission to the B.Tech programme, a candidate must have passed the class XII qualifying examination without grace in two compulsory subjects namely Physics and Mathematics and any one of Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject with a minimum aggregate of 50% (Gen) and 45% (SC/ST) marks in aggregate in required three subjects from any Institute located in U.P or whose parents are domicile of U P.

Candidates seeking admission are advised to appear either in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) entrance test or in JEE Main Examination. Short Listed Candidates will be considered  for Interview / Counseling. Candidates seeking admission in the second year of Engineering can apply through the counselling mode.

• Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination is 45%.
• 5% relaxation of marks is allowed by the institute for SC /ST candidates.

• 75% seats of all branches are allotted according to the merit list of UPSEE and as per State Government directives through online counseling.
• 10% seats of all branches are allotted to candidates residing outside UP according to the merit list of JEE Main as per State Government. Directives through online counseling.
• 15% seats in all branches are management quota seats and are allocated on the basis of merit of the relevant entrance test, as per university guidelines from among the candidates who approaches for admission.

SR Institute of Management and Technology offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree programme at the postgraduate level to the aspiring candidates. The duration of the M. Tech. course is two years for regular students. Presently, the institute offers M.Tech programme under two specializations viz. Computer Science Engineering and Production Engineering. The M.Tech programme is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

To be considered eligible for the M.Tech programme, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant branch of Engineering /Technology from any recognized University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Admission to the M.Tech programme is entirely based on the score of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The M. Tech. seats are first filled by GATE qualified candidates, then by industry sponsored candidates and if seats remain vacant, by other candidates. All non-GATE candidates will be admitted on the basis of merit list of pre-qualifying examinations in the relevant discipline.

• Candidates must obtain a valid GATE score card.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding 85% percentile in the GATE examination.
• Seats are allocated by the institute for Industry sponsored candidates too.

In addition to the M.Tech programme, SR Institute of Management and Technology also offers two postgraduate level courses focusing on the area of Business Administration leading to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) degrees. The college offers the MBA and PGDM programmes for a duration period of two years.

Candidates need to hold a three years bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline, from a recognized university in order to get admission.

Admission to the MBA and PGDM programmes are through UPSEE(Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination), an entrance examination conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The final merit list is prepared considering the marks obtained in the entrance examination as well as in the previous qualifying examination.

• 5% relaxation of marks is allowed by the institute for SC / ST candidates.

• 85% seats are allotted according to the merit of State Entrance Examination (SEE) of UP State through counseling as per the directives of AICTE, state government and affiliating university.
• 15% of total seats are filled on the basis of management quota admission procedure directly by the college as per the guidelines of affiliating university.
• Preferences shall be given to the candidates having a valid CAT/MAT/CMAT score.
