SD College of Engineering and Technology is a private engineering institution which was established in the year of 1997. The institute is located in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. The college is approved by AICTE (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow.
SD College of Engineering and Technology, Muzaffarnagar provides a distinctive combination of academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. At present, it offers full-time regular B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in various disciplines of engineering along with Ph.D in Basic Sciences. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

At the undergraduate level, SD College of Engineering and Technology offers the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) under eight different specializations. The duration for the B.Tech course is 4 years. Admission to the course is done through UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).
For admission to B.Tech program, candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Category candidates). SD College of Engineering and Technology offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) program at the postgraduate level in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The duration of the M.Tech program is two years with an annual intake capacity of 18 seats.
For admission to the postgraduate level engineering program, candidates must have a B.E/ B.Tech degree in the relevant specialization and must have obtained minimum required marks in graduate degree examination in the relevant branch of engineering.
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria are required to appear in General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam, conducted by IITs and IISC every year.

SD College of Engineering and Technology Ph.D Admission 2023
SD College of Engineering and Technology also offers doctoral programmes leading to award of the Ph.D degree to the research aspirant students. The Ph.D programmes are offered under three specializations of Basic Sciences. All the doctoral programmes are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).
In order to apply for the Ph.D. programme, a candidate must hold a Master’s degree from a recognized Indian University or any other equivalent degree to the satisfaction of the Academic Council of the University, in the relevant field, with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
Admission to the Ph.D. course is done through a written entrance test followed by an interview round conducted by the affiliating university.
The final merit list is prepared considering the performance of the candidates in the written test and interview along with the marks obtained by them in their previous qualifying examination.

For the B.Tech program:
- Candidates applying for the B.Tech program need to first appear for UPSEE examination in order to get admission in the institute.

For the M.Tech program:
