Scms school of engineering provide wide space to evolve. The college provides air conditioned computer labs
The college provides more hackthons events and learning events.scms college is naac accredited college has best faculty's to support our journey
The college has library which has more than 2000 books.more over scms is a space to learn and evolve

Dislikes

The college break is just 45 mins which isn't enough as students(hostellers)should go to mess.
College events are less in this college as our college provide more in technical events but not in cultural events more

Admission:

The other colleges i applied was all govt colleges.i couldn't got the rank to get there because i got less rank in keam exams.so i choose the best college i could get on my marks. I got 25526 rank in keam examination such that i cracked in here and also i wanted to be here because my super seniors where here they also insisted me that scms school of engineering is a good college.our college is a managemental college accredited by govt either we should crack keam exam or we should jee exam or we be nri quota. These are the 3 methods that we can get to scms school of engineering. The student must qualify 12th std with min 60 percentage mark and should pass the keam exam and we can get to college by applying in ktu portal

SSET- from the viewpoint of a student

Likes

Academic standards are really high. They teach you well and prepare us for semester exams. We have tutorial hours to solve problems and Y2P to encourage student interactions. Internals are conducted twice a semester and proper valuation is made.
College infrastructure is really great. The buildings and Lab's provide a better environment to properly nurture our learning ability. Labs are fully air conditioned and have variety of instruments in there. College has lift support as it has 5 floor
College Library is something of magnificent. It provides a vide variety if textbooks and magazines. They provide a better environment for learning and is close to nature as we have Bamboo trees inside the library.

Dislikes

We don't usually gets tech fests or any aother kind of events. It is a rare occurance and we would like to get more of them.
Travel facilities are really poor as our college is located far away from the Highway and Buses are rare especially during Sundays. This is of a great concern
Library timings are not at all comfortable for students. Library closes at 6 pm and hostel students cannot access it after Six. This raised a discomfort among many students

Admission:

I applied to government colleges and MITS ,RIST and FISAT too among with SSET. But I got confirmation letter from SSET in my first allotment itself. I choose SSET because it has a great infrastructure and wide possibility of opportunities. One of my relative was an alumni of this college and I got to know about the college from her perspective. The response I got from others whenever I asked about my college was really positive and hence I chose SSET. I never got rejection from other colleges I applied to, I simply chose to settle in the first college I got allotted after my KEAM Rank list got published. I chose SSET over other colleges because other colleges were really expensive and I never wanted to push my family to go through such a hard time just for my education. Even though I got admitted to a really great college with a high quality course the fees there in one sem was twice the amount I had to pay in SSET for a year The admission process of my college was quite simple.All we had to do was submit my certificates and sign a few papers. It Lasted only one and half hours. The eligibility to get here included passing the KEAM Exam and having 50% or more pass mark in plus two. The student must have studied Science subject with either Biology or Computer Science as the main Subject. My overall admission experience was really great. I got to talk with my principal during my admission and she was really nice. All the staff were really supportive.

My personal college life experience at sset

Likes

More focus on skills of students is very much needed as ssset is great at tuition for students and help them acquire degree but not a good future with practical knowledge.
Festival are conducted very rarely and also not give as much importance for sports.
Great at providing tuition and clearing papers

Dislikes

Very bad management as they dont understand students
Dead college due to silence in campus during class and ragging is banned
Overall poor management and the boring nature due to no extracurricular activities

Admission:

Its was said that in computer science feild is was best at scms at that time as they provide the best in the city. I only i applied and got rejected at rajagiri as i got a low rank. And the second college was sset and got there

First of all i am new to this part that is ernakulam,i wanted to study in a college awailing hostel so i did opt for a college in the next district yes i do find my college really interesting and based on appearance it is really presentable
I do study in scms school of engineering and technology,ernakulam. Here we have our hostels inside the college so i find it safe for the girls here and we have our canteen inside our college so it is really easy for us for food supplies.
We have a good library were we have wifi and a good readable and reference book . We can visit the library and get the books we want to stufy . One of the positive point is that our hostel has a separate stufy area.

Dislikes

Things disliked is that the cleanliness in hostel is not really good especially the bathrooms because i do find it not usable but its kind of clean but not really clean enough . We don’t have proper wifi system for all the rooms
The college doesn’t support girls and boys sitting together idk y this generation have such thoughts
The college doesnt have any kind of programs or fests its only a study area

Admission:

I did choose this college because my friends were there with me while joining the college and one of my cousin was already studying here.no i had applied in Christ college banglore since i had completed my schooling in abroad I didn't want to join a college outside my homeplace so i opted for this college. Here we need to qualify any one keam of jee to join any btech courses . The main cut off is 40% i guess.

Likes

Library.Its actually a very good infrastructure and peaceful place to sit and study with abundant resources.
Placement Cell:The college provides a very good team for placement opportunities and the companies and very profound and worth
Faculty:The team which is behind each and every student of this institution.They are like the pillars who really are the key people for the sustain.

Dislikes

Hostel Washroom: Needed to be bit more neat more than that there is no hand shower...finding very hard for that
Classroom chair:Some are really bad conditioned
Classroom Fan:Facing really difficult during summer because some aren't working well

Admission:

Actually to be very honest I haven't heard of this institute before and didn't had any pre plans of going neither here or any other institute.I have completed my schooling in Dubai so clearly had no idea about anythere over here.But it was entirely a very new experience for me and I don't even regret being here.

The library is the most liked thing about my college
Another interesting Factory of my college is the placement opportunities provided by the college. Companies like Accenture,TCS etc....
The teaching methods offered by the faculty is highly efficient and appreciatable.

Dislikes

The number of programmes offered by college is less.
The ventilation facilities is not adequate
The action taken by college during any kind of malpractices can be made a bit more strict

Admission:

I applied to most of the colleges in Kerala. I got selected according to my marks. I never regret getting into this college as it has taught me a lot. The college is much more friendly than all other colleges due to its highly professionalised faculty and the environment created by all the teaching faculties,non teaching faculties and students.

The library is very nice. The collage have amazing faculty
It is very spacious and we do not feel suffocated. It is very related to nature
It has a lab for everything which reduces dependency on other institutions.

Dislikes

Programs are little less but they give us more opportunities to focus on studies
There is less number of hours, we sometimes feel it should be more
All the labs are very far apart and it involves walking

Admission:

This collages excited me because of it is 3rd rank in kerala private collages lists. And my friend recommended this collage as her dream collage and sadly she could not get into it. So i grabbed that opportunity. This collages looks at the students minds as well as studying.

Likes

The faculties are mostly friendly in nature.we can approach them for our studies purposes at any time.
We get more placement training here provided by the college
The faculties are good especially the library,transportation

Dislikes

Cultural programs are not conducting regularly
Need more area for spending leisure time.our ground is 300 m long from college
Hectic schedule for students.ktu is conducting exams within 3-4months.

Admission:

I only appiled to this college and i got into this through merit.Actually i was particular about btech in artificial intelligence ,so there were less colleges offering this course when i had applied.so definitely scms is one the best among them.

A short visit to SCMS SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

Likes

The education quality is good. College provides placement training, induction programs through the 4 years.
Experienced faculty who teaches in both English and malayalam.
Labs are available. Courses also provide additional courses like python learning etc.

Dislikes

College has little to no programs. Like tech fest arts fest and other celebration. It is very focused on Acdamic.
Hectic schedule of classes. Extra classes in weekend.
The location of the college is far from main roads.

Admission:

Admission is based on keam and Jee. Eligibility - you gave to pass the exam. For Rank around 20000 we will get admission here for computer science. Other branches rank is not a issue. You will get admission no matter that.

Our campus is a green campus that makes our mind refreshing
The library is of international standards
The happiness and energy of college fest,events etc

Dislikes

The schedule is hectic,too much assignments, tutorial etc
Some professor's may not teach their subjects properly
The campus is too remote,it will take much time,money and energy to go for a outing

Admission:

The reason I opt this college is because it provides the computer science and artificial intelligence course which is not available in many other colleges in Kerala The students could get an admission by having certain cutoff in the keam exam or JEE
