Model Engineering College Review

Faculty:

We don't have much faculty-to-student ratio as this is one of the top colleges so lot of students enrolled but IHRD don't have fund to facilitate everyone. We don't have fixed classrooms and we share labs with every department. Exams here are really tough and it's pretty hard to score marks

MEC EEE REVIEW

Faculty to students ration depends on different branches. For 70 students upto 20 faculties are available. Faculties including lab staffs.. They are quite supportive even for poor lab facilitues. Without them students would have it very hard. In every sem there are 2 internal xams worth 50 marks. Then there is university sem xam for 100 marks

Faculty of mec are really tallented and skilled in different spetrum . They provide assistance in projects and research. Talking about the course structure its really fun and adventurous proper scheduling and time managemnts is required to excel. To conquer good score in exams make sure to complete all topics covered in the syllabus.

Placements @MEC

The faculty sir superb there are almost 100 to 150 teachers and for 1st year there are around 650 students the teachers are so friendly and moreover they are ready to support the children at any time or at any cost.

Life at model engineering college

The faculty is very helpful and seniors helps whenever needed.

Faculty to student ratio is 3:60 . They are very approachable and helps us when required.most of the faculty teaches very well but a few of them , their teaching style is not very understandable.other than that all are very helpful.

Good hostel facilities and college academics, average infrastructure

Some faculty are really nice, friendly, good to be around, help with studies as well.

Dislikes

Some faculty are arrogant and take to their own methods of teahing. Students tend to detest their classes.

Some faculties are very friendly and approachable,they share study materials,tips and advises to help us study better. Whereas, there are other faculties that are arrogant and tend to choose their own method of teaching which does not resonate with the students and the students end up struggling. There are 2 series texts conducted as internals every sem along with the semester exams. Same applies for lab.

Lack of teacher student communication in events and planning

Faculties and other staffs in my department are good and very helping. But the curriculum and syllabus provided by the University in very bad and it is affecting their abilility to teach. The syllabus provided only 3 months for studying in a semester and it causes rushing and skipping of portions. Personally I like all our faculties. Exams are not proportionate and are rushed .

Great for placements, Not so great for campus life.

The faculties here are great, they are well educated and friendly.They are easy to approach and are happy to help with your problems.There are two series (internal) exams before the semester examination.The portions for the exams are completed early on so that we get time to prepare and study.

MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

Mec Thrikkakkara offers good placements for all batches.Also the staffs and students helps us in improving our skills through various clubs

Faculities are well educated and have thorough knowledge to teach students .All Facilities are pretty much friendly towards students and helps students to clear doubts on any subjects.The faculty I liked the most was Jayesh Sir .The subject he thought was engineering Graphics.He helped me to understand even the basic concepts of engineering drawing and made it easier for me to learn and love the subject.There is only semester exam at the end of every semester and regular series exams are held.In my batch,60/65 students cleared all exams I found curriculum to be pretty boring and not useful except the business subjects like Computational statistics and Statistical methods
