Reality of College life

Likes

The faculty is generally knowledgeable in their respective fields with many professors holding advanced degrees. Career counselor is available on every Friday to provide academic advice as students may feel that environment could be more personalized
The college has an adequate infrastructure with computer labs and seminar halls to support the academic experience. The library is well stocked with text books and research material making it a good resource for students.
Our college has an active placement cell that collaborates with a range of companies for campus recruitment. Many students in courses like Computer science, IT and Electronics have access to job placements with the placement process

Dislikes

Hostel:- The hostel facility is an area that requires improvement. It only have very less accommodation, amenities and maintenance and it could led to a huge loss especially for students coming from a longer distance
It have some placement cell and some industry connections, there is potential for further improving industry exposure,More internships, live projects and collaborations with tech companies can help decrease gap between theoretical& practical learning
The college union at our college isn't very active or visible. It can sometimes face challenges in getting visibility or engaging students as they often play a significant role in campus life

Admission:

My 1st priority was this college and I've successfully achieved that. I've chosen this college mainly as it's near my home town and this college have 3rd position over Kerala for pass result percentage. I have never got rejection from any college as this college was my first priority. For admission process the students must wants to clear keam exam and those who got higher rank will get the seats. Other than keam exams NRI seat and spot admission are there as a few number. Cut off can vary every year depends on the number of students and their ranks.

The college is strict on anti ragging and maintaining students mental health

Dislikes

The college compound is small comparing to other engineering colleges
The is no elevator service in the hostel
The chemistry is a little bit congested.

I preferred and choose this college over other because this college hold 4rth position in KTU and 2nd position in Thiruvananthapuram. As it is a women's college the placement is also really good. I got admission in this college through keam examination.

Likes

It is a peace environment in the college maybe because it's a women's college.
The faculties here are so supportive and teaches the maximum they know and try to make us better even more .
We have a canteen and a seperate store for stationery items which makes us easier to access items .

Dislikes

The programs and fests in the college are so less and are not cordinated in a good way
Inactive college politics, which might make us less knowledge about general politics

Admission:

My college LBSITW is a government controlled self financing engineering college . It is managed and controlled by LBS centre for science and technology , a government organisation . It is not a fully government college but government supervisioned one . I opted this college because it has ranked 4th in ktu btech results and 2nd in Trivandrum and also as it is a women college there is more opportunities for women in engineering for showing their skills and talents without being dominated by others . There is 100 % placements in this college .

Teachers and faculty are very good and responsible .Students are more communicative
Programmes are good.Even if with lower budget they try do it
Hackathons,workshops and programmes are really good and seniors mentor us nicely

Dislikes

Attendance is always compulsory..even for health issues attendance is a crisis

Admission:

As the only women's engineering college in Kerala ..I was really admired to study in this college. I got a grateful opportunity to study with students who got higher grade than mine . I got admission in private college bt I think this is far more better. I attended keam and was eligible for engineering ...and I wanted to pursue cs only.

There are many opportunities to develop your skills
Teachers and other students support you very well
Teachers are providing good classes gor our academic growth

Dislikes

Campus is very much small so there is no space to roam and enjoy during free time
College management is not providing more days to tech and cultural fests

Admission:

I choose this college because ther are about 140 something college under our university and my college ranks 4th position. This college provides very good environment for studies and through this college I can get more exposure to technichal world a very important aspect. This college accepts students through keam entrance examination. For merit seats a very good rank is required depends upon courses (for cse its under 12k as per 2024 cutoffs it will increse in the coming yrs). There is diploma courses also

The thing I disliked is that there are no boys ,in some way that's kind of uncool .And this college has a small playground and courtyard so it feels kinda make me boring.This college makes me boring sometimes because the classes are sometimes no good

I choose this college because there are no other options.i can't get into any other colleges.But I'm not regretting that I joined this college.admission process of college through keam exam anyways it is nice being here

The academic section is really appreciable the provide appropriate classes and the teachers are friendly
The college facilities are really good. Like technical labs and and all. The computer labs are all working and all are new version
All other facilities like water and light fan all are appreciated

Dislikes

Sometimes it feels like a school not a college.there are alot of rules which don't define a college
The bathroom facilities are there but not as clean and hygienic . sometimes there won't be water in the washroom
The campus is not that much big.but an average

Admission:

I got this college in spot admission.so didn't opt for this college.this college specializes in women in technology so as women empowerment is a factor.i finally accepted this college .cuttoffs didn't mattered because I got spot admission

It is a well known collage for its pass percentage and placement.
It is ranked fourth among the ktu collages for its performance
Good faculties and better learning experience

Dislikes

Campus is so small compared to other collages.
This is a women's collage.so lack of boyfriendship

The first reason why I joined this collage was it's hype.it is ranked 4 th among other ktu collages in their performance and pass percentage. placements are also higher comparing other collages. Inorder to increase the women ratio in cooperate companys they are looking forward to hyre female candidates than male. So logically thinking opportunities will be high here.
