KIST is a good college but not the best. The annual fee is 75000 for general and ews categories and it is same for all categories but the scholarship amount which we have received from govt is different. there was 10000 scholarship for general categories and 40000 for sc/st categories. they have good facilities. the timing was also good There was 120 seats for mechanical engineering.. Computer science, Electricals, Electronics and telecommunications branch was also there.
The fees is 50000 per yr if you spt for hostel it will be nearly 1 lakh including all the expenses and 1500 for the registration.
There are scholarships for obc, sc and st category. You can contact the college during the admission for the scholarships.
The year -wise fees paid 72000 thousands.
The tuition fees-15000, caution fees-1500, registration fees-2000, admission fees-15000.
The general students pay the total amount year-wise is 98000. And the sc,st students pay the scholarship 72000.
The cost to study was the okay type where we have to pay 60K per year & for completing the entire B Tech course around 2.5 L money needs to be spent (excluding hostel & books fees). Since I was the topper of our college, I was awarded a 10K scholarship amount per year which helped me to navigate easily through the courses where the financial burdens were a little bit eased out.
The negative part was the campus placement where no good campus visited our college. I have to literally struggle to get placements.
Our college takes for mechanical engineering course fees is forty thousand per year. College is best for st and sc students because colleges don't take fees from st and sc students. In college more stipends for st and sc students from all states.
In this college, the fee structure is very low as compared to other colleges because where other colleges charge more than 1lakh per year here the cost is only 80-90k. If you belong to Odisha then there is a scholarship policy for sc st students the course is totally free of cost .and you have to pay only for the registration and that fee will be decided by the University.
No I haven't opted for any loans, but some of my friends did opted. This is quite simple as for this you just need to get a Bonafide letter from the college and submit it to the branch, then you need to go through some formalities of the bank.
