Konark Institute of Science and Technology admission is based on the candidate's performance in the relevant entrance test. KIST Odisha Eligibility & Selection Criteria
- B.Tech: The candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and an additional subject (like Chemistry and Computer Science, etc.) with 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). Admission is done on the basis JEE Main or OJEE score.
- M.Tech: The candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks (45% reserved categories). Selection is done through a valid GATE score.
- MBA: The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45 % for reserved categories). Admissions are based on either MAT, XAT, CAT, ATMA or OJEE scores.
KIST Odisha Application Process
Step 1 - Check your eligibility criteria
Before pursuing KIST, confirm that you qualify for the relevant program (B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA or MBA Integrated)
Step 2 - Entrance Examination
Apply and sit for the relevant entrance examination where applicable:
B.Tech - JEE Main / OJEE
M.Tech - GATE
MBA - MAT, XAT, CAT, ATMA or OJEE
MBA (Integrated) - OJEE
Step 3 - Counselling and Registration
Sit OJEE counselling (this is obligatory for normal Odisha state quota admissions). During counselling you will select Konark Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), decision on which we will assume you will make by that stage.
Step 4 - Document Verification
You will have to hand in your documents for verification (mark sheets/entrance scorecard/ID proof/category certificate, etc.).
