What's New in KIEM?
- As per the AICTE circular, the last date for direct admission against vacant seats through Decentralized Counselling to various AICTE, Non-AICTE & PCI (UG & PG Courses) has been extended to Oct 23, 2024.
- Kanad Institute of Engineering and Management - [KIEM] is inviting applications for a few vacant seats in the In-House UG/PG Admission 2024 for B.Sc/ BCA/ BBA/ M.Sc/ M.Tech/ MBA/ LLM programs. Candidates can apply from Oct 7, 2024 to Oct 20, 2024. While MBA applications will be accepted from Oct 10, 2024 till Oct 20, 2024. For more detailed information, click here.
- The counselling schedule for candidates allotted seats in MAKUAT through JELET 2024 is released. The first round of counselling/ reporting will be held on October 13 – 15, 2024 and the 2nd round of counselling/ reporting on October 18 – 20, 2024.
- WBJEEB has released the WB JELET Round 1 Counselling Schedule for lateral entry admissions to the Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy courses. The registration and choice locking is open till October 6, and the Seat Allotment Results will be released on October 10. The last date for reporting and fee payment against the Round 1 Seat Allotment List is October 15.
Kanad Institute of Engineering and Management was established in 2008 and are affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology).
The institute offers B.Tech in 5 specializations and Diploma in Engineering in 3 specializations. Admission to B.Tech courses offered by KIEM Burdwan is also given in the second year through Lateral Entry.
- For B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry courses, the application process is online and for Diploma courses, application forms are accepted in both offline and online mode.
- The minimum eligibility for B.Tech is 45% marks in 10+2 with relevant subjects from a recognized board.
- Diploma holders in Engineering or those with B.Sc degree can apply for admission to B.Tech 2nd year Lateral Entry courses.

KIEM Burdwan B.Tech Admission 2024
Kanad Institute of Engineering and Management offers B.Tech in 5 disciplines with total 420 seats. The institute also offers Lateral Entry admission to B.Tech.
The minimum eligibility to apply for B.Tech course is 10+2 in PCM with at least 45% marks. For admission through Lateral Entry, candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering / B.Sc (Hons.) with 60% average marks.
Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of valid score in WBJEE. Those with valid JEE Main score can also get admission. Lateral Entry admission is done on the basis of performance in WBJELET.

Key Points:
- Admission to the 10% seats is done through Management Quota.
- Admission to the 10% of total seats is also given through Lateral entry in the second year.
- WBJEE exam is offline and consists of two papers; Paper I is of Mathematics and Paper II is of Physics and Chemistry.
- Candidates applying must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31. There is no upper age limit.
KIEM Burdwan Diploma Admission 2024
Kanad Institute of Engineering and Management offer 3-year Diploma Courses in 3 engineering disciplines with total 240 seats.
Candidates applying for Diploma courses should have passed 10th with at least 35% marks. Candidates should also have scored minimum 90 marks combined in Mathematics and Physics.
Admission to the Diploma courses is done on the basis of JEXPO, conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

KIEM Burdwan Application Process 2024
For WBJEE and WBJELET
Admission to B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry is done through counselling on the basis of WBJEE. Application forms for the WBJEE are filled online. Candidates seeking admission to Diploma courses in Engineering have to take JEXPO. They can fill the application form for the same through both online and offline modes.
For admission to Management Quota seats, candidates need to fill the application form available on the college website. Candidates need to bring following documents to the college:
- Attested photocopies of HSC and SSC mark sheet (2 each).
- Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Migration Certificate (for all boards except WBSCHE).
- Ten colored passport size photographs.
- Ten envelopes containing home address of the candidates along with one INR 5 stamp.
- Any fees to be paid should be in the form of Demand Draft in the name of – “Kanad Institute of Engineering and Management” payable at Durgapur.

Eligibility is passing the diploma, Online anyone can find application forms and process fees for everything. And you can call the faculty of the college they are very helpful. I haven't availed any reservation benefits, I had given JELET examination. And got in admission.

Diploma in mechanical engineering required 60 plus percentage in diploma and with class 12 science. I find the application from the college office. In the accounting department, you can deposit fees. If you want you can reserve seats. The admission process is very easy.
