Yes, few scholarships were there, but from the govt., not the college. They were hard to avail, as most of them are for the minority/SC-ST/and BPL students only.

Yes, there was state run scholarship for schedule caste & minority people. There was also one scholarship if the yearly income of any family was less than a designated amount. Apart from these state run scholarships there were many scholarships for top academics & best performances in other activities.
