GNDEC M.Tech Admission 2026

Admissions to the M.Tech (Production Engineering) program at GNDEC are conducted through IKGPTU counselling based on GATE scores. Preference is given to GATE-qualified candidates; however, non-GATE candidates may also be considered for direct admission in case of vacant seats. The 2026-27 admission process is expected to commence after GATE 2026 results (declared March 19, 2026), with IKGPTU counselling rounds typically held in July-August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
• A valid GATE score is required; preference is given to GATE-qualified candidates. Non-GATE candidates may be considered for direct admission against vacant seats.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination may also apply provisionally.

Admission Process

• Register on the GNDEC Admission Portal at admission.gndec.ac.in.
• Appear in IKGPTU online counselling with a valid GATE score.
• Submit the admission form to the Mechanical Engineering Department along with required documents.
• Attend counselling (Round 1, Round 2, or Spot Counselling) as per the schedule.

GNDEC M.Tech Scholarships 2026

GNDEC M.Tech students can benefit from multiple scholarship schemes, including the prestigious AICTE PG Scholarship for GATE-qualified students and state-level PMS scholarships for SC/ST candidates. The AICTE scholarship provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,400, which significantly offsets the course fees.
