GECT M.Tech CSE Admission 2026-27
Admission to the M.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering) programme at GECT Thrissur is primarily based on GATE score (CS - Computer Science and Information Technology paper). Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (Computer Science and Engineering or allied branches) with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate marks; SC/ST and PWD candidates need only a pass in the qualifying degree; SEBC/OEC candidates need a minimum CGPA of 5.5 or 55%
- A valid GATE score in CS (Computer Science and Information Technology) is required for GATE-based admission; non-GATE candidates may be considered for vacant seats through a university entrance test/interview
- Candidates awaiting final semester/year results of the qualifying examination can also apply
Admission Process:
- Appear for GATE 2026 (CS paper) - exam held on February 7, 8, 14, 15, 2026; result declared on March 19, 2026
- Register and apply online through the DTE Kerala portal (lbscentre.kerala.gov.in) during the application window (typically May-June)
- Pay the registration fee: Rs. 800 (General), Rs. 400 (SC/ST)
- Upload all required documents including qualifying degree certificates, GATE scorecard, community certificate (if applicable), and nativity certificate
- Rank list is published based on GATE score; allotment is done through centralized counselling
- Non-GATE candidates may appear for the university entrance test/interview for vacant seats
- Report for admission at GECT Thrissur on the allotted date with all original documents
