Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur, Bastar is a government college located in the state of Chattisgarh. Established in the year 1983, the college provides degree courses of Engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur offers a four-year degree course of B.Tech in a number of specializations. At postgraduate level, the college offers a two-year course of M.Tech in two specializations.

Admission to the course of B.Tech is done on the basis of CG PET 2020 or JEE Main score.
Candidates shortlisted during CG PET 2020 counselling are allotted a seat in the college based on which admissions are given.
For M.Tech, the candidates must have a valid GATE score and admissions are given through state level counselling conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Raipur.

Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur B.Tech Admission 2024

GEC, Jagdalpur offers B.Tech in 6 specializations The college offers a total of 270 seats for B.Tech. Candidates need 10+2 level or equivalent exam in Science stream with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology as an optional subject to be eligible for admission.

There are two modes of admission to the college. Candidates can either apply through JEE Main score under All India Quota or CG PET 2020 score under State Quota. Candidates must clear the cut-off which is the lowest score required in CG PET for admission. The candidates’ score in JEE (Main) is also considered among other parameters for calculating the cut-off.

Admissions are offered to candidates through separate counselling of JEE and CG PET candidates conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Raipur.
CG PET is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) at the state level for B.Tech admissions every year.

Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur M.Tech Admission 2024

The college M.Tech in 2 specializations. For each specialization the college offers 18 seats. Candidates possessing B.E or B.Tech degree in the concerned disciplines are eligible to apply for M.Tech.

Aspirants interested in taking M.Tech admissions in GEC have to apply on the basis of GATE scores. The admissions are conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Raipur on the no-entrance basis.

Candidates are given admission through state level counselling conducted by DTE on the basis of candidates’ valid GATE score and academic performance.

Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur Application Process 2024

For B.Tech - The application form for CG PET is made available in an online and offline mode on the official website of DTE, Raipur. The cost of application form is INR 200 for General category, INR 150 for OBC category and INR 100 for SC/ST category candidates. The application fee could be paid through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card in online mode and through SBI Challan in offline mode.

For M.Tech - The application forms will be made available online from July 2020 tentatively. The application fee is INR 500 (tentative) which has to be paid through the SBI Challan generated for download after registration of form.

Necessary documents required for admission include:

Class 10^th and 12^th Mark Sheet
CG PET 2020 Application Form
CG PET 2020 or JEE Main 2020 Score Card (whichever applicable).
Transaction receipt of counselling fee.
Domicile and Category Certificates, if applicable.

This is all about my College GEC jagdalpur

Admission:

The eligibility for the course is simply the Chhattisgarh government take an exam called PET Pre Engineering test through this exam you can get the course you want according to your rank the college habits on website according to all the application fees information and the dates forms you can check there or about the PET exam you can Chhattisgarh government vyapam website. This exam held once in a year and the difficulty level is medium according to me it's not to hard like other examination for engineering. There is reservation benefits for the ST SC or OBC students the number of seats are set for those categories students. The process of the admission is too land and offline everything it could be improved if some of the procedure are online or easy and otherwise everything are normal.

Admission:

Admission can be done on JEE score and CGPET score. There is two online allotment of seats in the college and one spot round or offline allotment for seat. CGPET is conducted once a year. You have to score atleast 20 marks in to get admission but the seats are filled according to the allotment

In my college selection of students is done by competitive exams like JEE mains and CGPET. Mine was through CGPET. The college has nice hostels for merit students (categories applied). But since the covid period, the sessions are delayed very much compared to other colleges and Universities.

About GEC Jagdalpur.

Admission:

I am currently an Engineering Student at Government Engineering college Jagdalpur. I get into this college after Clearing an Entrance exam which is Known as Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CGPET). CGPET or JEE Mains is compulsory to get admission to this college. After giving the Entrance exam there are severally 5 rounds of counseling held by CGDTE. In which 3 rounds of main counseling rounds, and the other 2's spot round. GEC Jagdalpur is 5 km away from Jagdalpur. it is present in Dharampura-3. There are 6 branches in these colleges Civil, Mechanical, Mining, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, and Information technology. Gec Jagdalpur is known for its civil engineering branch because There are very experienced faculties in the Civil Engineering branch and have a great alumni record. Cutoffs are very low for this college. and there are no on-campus placements. The placement Percentage is nearly zero. Infrastructure is good but not sufficient
