- Candidates willing to take admission in B.E. program will have to qualify either in Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) or JEE Main.
- Admission to M.Tech program is done on the basis of merit in GATE. A valid GATE score is mandatory for admission.

GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET) offers B.E in various specializations for the duration of 4-year. The intake capacity is 60 seats for each of the specializations except Electronics and Telecommunications for which the number of seats is 120. The admission is granted on the basis of JEE Main score.
The non-JEE candidates may also seek admission by qualifying CSVTU conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB).

Key Points:

At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Tech in three specializations with an intake of 18 seats each. Candidates who have successfully completed B.E or B.Tech in relevant discipline with minimum required marks are eligible to seek admission. Admission to is granted on the basis of merit in GATE followed by counselling.
The college also offers MBA program with an intake of 60 seats. Minimum eligibility criteria is as per the norms laid down by DTE Raipur/Chhattisgarh. The admission is granted done on the basis of merit in MAT conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA).

GDRCET, Bhilai Application Process 2024
Candidates can apply by following the given steps:
- Application form can be downloaded by clicking on the “Admissions” tab under academic link provided on the home page of GDRCET.
- An application fee of INR 1000 has to be paid through a demand draft issued in the favor of ‘The Director’, GDRCET Bhilai, payable at State Bank of India, GDRCET Bhilai branch.
The following documents are required to be attached with the application form:
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheet [Proof of DOB]
- Mark sheet / Provisional certificate of the qualifying examination.
- Caste Certificate [SC/ST candidates]
