GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET) is a unit of Rungta Group of Colleges which was established in the year of 2008. It is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technology University (CSVTU), Bhilai.

GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET) offers B.E, M.Tech and MBA programs in various streams at UG and PG levels.

Candidates willing to take admission in B.E. program will have to qualify either in Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) or JEE Main.
Admission to M.Tech program is done on the basis of merit in GATE. A valid GATE score is mandatory for admission.
A valid CAT/ MAT or CMAT score is mandatory for admission to the MBA program.
A relaxation of 5% marks in the eligibility criteria will be given to the SC/ST/OBC candidates.

GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET) B.E Admission 2024

GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET) offers B.E in various specializations for the duration of 4-year. The intake capacity is 60 seats for each of the specializations except Electronics and Telecommunications for which the number of seats is 120. The admission is granted on the basis of JEE Main score.

The non-JEE candidates may also seek admission by qualifying CSVTU conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB).

Key Points:

Students must appear either in JEE Main or CG-PET in order to be considered eligible for counselling.

GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology (GDRCET), M.Tech & MBA Admission 2024

At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Tech in three specializations with an intake of 18 seats each. Candidates who have successfully completed B.E or B.Tech in relevant discipline with minimum required marks are eligible to seek admission. Admission to is granted on the basis of merit in GATE followed by counselling.

The college also offers MBA program with an intake of 60 seats. Minimum eligibility criteria is as per the norms laid down by DTE Raipur/Chhattisgarh. The admission is granted done on the basis of merit in MAT conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA).

Application form can be downloaded by clicking on the “Admissions” tab under academic link provided on the home page of GDRCET.
An application fee of INR 1000 has to be paid through a demand draft issued in the favor of ‘The Director’, GDRCET Bhilai, payable at State Bank of India, GDRCET Bhilai branch.

The following documents are required to be attached with the application form:

Class 10^th and 12^th mark sheet [Proof of DOB]
Mark sheet / Provisional certificate of the qualifying examination.
Caste Certificate [SC/ST candidates]
Score card of GATE/MAT/CAT
No objection certificate from current employer, if employed.

Admission:

Through clearing CG state pre-engineering test and scoring rank of 1200 I managed to get an admission into this college. The admission can also be taken through AIEEE or management's quota. free seat and scholarship scheme of government is applicable here.
