FISAT: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 13 Reviews

Admission to FISAT for the BTech Mechanical Engineering course is based on KEAM exam scores and 12th-grade marks, with a formal and efficient process. The college has two 60-student batches per department, offering seats through both management (50%) and merit (50%) quotas. Management quota students pay around Rs 1,45,000 annually, while merit-based fees are Rs 75,000. NRI fees vary, and MBA and MCA fees are Rs 1,20,000 and up to Rs 50,000, respectively. Scholarships and financial aid are available, with considerations for family income and top KEAM ranks.

The college provides robust placements, especially in IT, with over 50% of students securing jobs, involving companies like TCS, Infosys, and more, with packages ranging from 1.2 to 5.5 lakh per annum. However, mechanical and civil students face challenges in core placements. Placements are facilitated by a well-established cell, though internships are mainly unpaid and IT-focused. The college supports external internships and industry visits. It offers financial aid options, such as the FBOA Scholarship for Federal Bank employees' children, fee reductions for minority communities, and scholarships like the MOMA Scholarship.

Student loans are available through banks, with guidance provided. Faculty are highly qualified, emphasizing practical learning, though considered average overall.

The fee structure is comparatively optimum. But, they do not give access to all the facilities that are provided in the fee structure. There are options for scholarship schemes from the institute itself or there are some government scholarship schemes that can help in financial assistance.Campus placements are very good apart from mechanical and civil streams. Even so, I was recently offered from Planetspark as Business Development Counselor through CoCubes with the assistance of the institute for writing the test in it. The stipend from the company is said to be 20000 Rs.
