Calcutta Institute of Technology has an excellent learning environment for students who wish to pursue diploma, graduation and post-graduation in various fields of technical education.
The Institute is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and approved by the govt. of West Bengal. AICTE, New Delhi.
Students can apply for admissions to Calcutta Institute of Technology through online mode on the official website of the institution.
The eligibility criteria to apply for a technical diploma is that students must have qualified 10th standard with a minimum of 35% marks.
In order to apply for B.Tech., candidates must have qualified their higher secondary education or equivalent, that is, 10+2 from a recognized board.
Apart from this, they need to have a valid scorecard of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) which is conducted by the state or All India Engineering Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE, for studying the UG course in Calcutta Institute of Technology.
Students seeking admission to PG technical course must be a graduate in any engineering discipline with PGET counseling conducted by WBUT.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on merit in the qualifying examination.

CIT Howrah M. Tech. And M.CA. Admission 2024
Calcutta Institute of Technology offers courses such as M.Tech. and M.CA. in specified discipline. M.Tech. can be done in chemical engineering in this Institution. Candidates require graduation in any engineering field with PGET counseling conducted by WBUT, to apply for PG in technology.

How to Apply for CIT Howrah?
Candidates can apply for under graduation or post-graduation courses via online mode, that is on the official website of the institution. The application process for 2021 is elaborated below point wise:
- Visit the official website of Calcutta Institute of Technology, i.e. http://cit.urschard.in/.
- Locate and tap on the tab which says “Contact Us”.
- Click on the link “Admission 2023-2024 APPLY ONLINE”
- Fill the form that gets displayed on another web page.
- The form has all the personal as well as academic details.
- While in the process of filling the application form, candidates are recommended not to refresh the web page, until it gets finally submitted.
- Do take a printout of the filled application form.
- Once the candidate is listed in the merit, which is announced online by college officials, they need to visit the campus in person.
- Candidates must have the following document when they visit the campus:
- The application form number
- Print out of the filled application form
- 2 latest passport-sized photograph
- A valid government identity proof (Aadhar card/voter id card/ PAN card/ driving license)
- Once admissions are confirmed, they must pay the fees before the last date.
- If the candidate fails to pay the fees, admission would be withdrawn.
