Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an ITI certificate in Draughtsman Civil, Surveyor, Mason, or related trade from a recognised ITI with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks (35% for SC/ST).

A valid VOCLET 2026 score is mandatory. VOCLET is conducted by WBSCTVESD and is the entrance for lateral entry into diploma programmes at all WBSCTVESD-affiliated polytechnics in West Bengal.

Admission is through WBSCTVESD centralised counselling. Candidates must register at sctvesd.wb.gov.in and participate in the seat allotment process after results.

Admission Process

Apply for VOCLET 2026 at sctvesd.wb.gov.in. The exam is expected in June 2026 (Tentative).

After VOCLET results (expected July 2026 (Tentative)), register for WBSCTVESD centralised diploma lateral counselling and fill in preferences for BBIT.

WBSCTVESD prepares a merit list based on VOCLET score and ITI marks. Allotted candidates receive a seat allotment letter.
