BBIT UG Admissions 2026 Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The eligibility and selection criteria for BTech admissions at BBIT are-
- To be eligible for BTech admission, Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Higher Secondary examination or equivalent. (40% in the case of reserved categories)
- For BTech (Lateral), candidates who hold a diploma with at least 45% marks in an appropriate branch of engineering or technology, or have a B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks.
- Admission to the BTech program will be granted based on the JEE Main or WBJEE exam, followed by counseling.
- Admissions in B.Tech through lateral entry shall be made strictly based on the performance of candidates in the Common Entrance Examination for admission through Lateral Entry Scheme (i.e., JELET) conducted by the Kolkata Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
