How is placement for civil engineering in bangalore Institute of Technology?

When compared to other colleges in Karnataka, BIT placements are much better. One of my friends completed his BE in Civil Engineering (2016) and got placed in Brigade. Placements: The institute witnessed 50% placements in 2019 and received companies like Larsen and Toubro, Gammon, Wipro, and Accenture. A couple of construction companies visit for the placement process as well. Around 15-20 students get placed with core companies. Other branches do have a much better placement rate. For instance, it was 100% for CSE, ISE, and ECE branches. However, Civil Engineering has more scope off-campus. Govt. sectors offer the highest number of jobs to Civil Engineering students. Civil engineering students may have to start with a lower CTC than other branches but there are no saturation points. The placement statistics for Civil Engineering in recent years at BIT are as follows. Average CTC 6.5 LPA Median CTC 4 LPA The trend is in the favour of Civil Engineers and there's a huge demand for CE in the industry, which was not so a decade ago. So, if you are genuinely interested in Civil then you should go for it.

Both Bangalore Institute of Technology and Dayanand Sagar College are great colleges and much better than BMSIT and RNSIT. However, they are comparable based on 2 aspects, placements, and college life. Placements-wise, BIT is the best among the aforementioned institutes. In terms of college life experience, DSC is better than BIT. While some may say that college life is a subjective matter and varies from person to person, I think the campus itself plays a major role.

An amazing college experience that shaped my future

The placements record of Bangalore institute of technology is quite impressive and has been improving every year.Students become eligible for for campus placements from fifth sem onwards.The college has dedicated training and placement cell.Many companies are visited the campus including Google Micrsoft cisco tcs phonepe asian paints fadility amazon and more.Apart from IT companies a few core and startup firms also offer roles.The average package offered is around 4 to 5 LPA.The highest package is 57 LPA offered gy MIcrosoft company.Nearly 80 to 90 percentage of students from the eligible batch secure placements every year.If I did't placed in my college I plan to work for few year to gain experience and later pursue a master's degree to enhance my career.

Placements are very good, most of them are placed in 2025 in the top companies like amazon, cisco, dell, zeta, phonepe. The highest package was 36 lpa in cisco and average is around 8 lpa. 80% of the students in our college got placed.

The 3 year or sixth semester students are eligible for on campus placements. The percentage of students getting placed are around 85 percent. The average package is 5lakhs. There are companies looking for full time jobs as interns as well.

Students of the 6th semester become eligible for internships and those of the 7th semester become eligible for campus placements. Top recruiters are Tata Wipro Infosys TCS, Dell HP. In our college after 5 th semester students will be eligible for campus placement. The companies visited are Amazon,Wipro,cysco, Microsoft,etc and all great companies will visit and offer students. The highest package was 54,00,000 per annum. Average package is 7 lakh per annum. My plan is also to get placed at high package and continue my dream job as software engineer.

The college is more than 40 years old so , it has a good alumni base so you will be able to get referals in many of the companies ,........... yes its on you to make connections .

Placement basically starts from 3rd year .Comapnies visit in start of third year offering internships and this continue till end of 4th year. Highest package till date was taken by kriti srivastava which was 58 or 60 lpa nearly . Average for cse and similar departments like ise aiml are really decent at nearly 9 lac . I am planning to land a good placement and also clicking new ideas if works will start a startup.
