Just about my college

Likes

The environment of the college is good and peaceful
Placement and internship opportunities are appreciatable.
This college have well skilled labs and professors.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is not good and old
Total strength of the college is less when compared to other colleges.
Other activities like culturals and functions not conducted regularly.

Internships Opportunities:

There is more than 10 companies which offers placements for the students and the popular companies are zogo, l and t,Saint gobin.you canexpress your ideas and projects through thiran projects which are conducted every year

ACGCET Karaikudi review (personal experience)

Likes

Affordability in fees and you can complete the entire degree in 2 lakhs
Many scholarships are provided to the students
The alumini network is very strong in the college, as it is one the oldest college in india

Dislikes

As it is in a tier 4 town, the exposure we students get is very low
Placement isn't very satisfactory than compared to private colleges
The hostel food and rooms are decent at best

Internships Opportunities:

I am quite unsure about the internship opportunities available, however though you can't get many internship through the college there have been senior who got internship through allumni support. There are Mini projects in 3rd Year and major project in final year. There is also a intra-college project building competition organised by the alumini called Thiran.

Likes

Infrastructure has been good and well developed
Had a very good quality time at the college it was good while it lasted

Dislikes

Sometimes things doesn't get maintained or the surrounding are not well maintained

Schneider electric intership was provided and the stipend was about 11-14 thousand per month and the duration of the intership was about 3 months. The intership was about pcb circuit breakers manufacturing.

Good Importance to sports.Sports day and culturals are conducted every academic year.
Other than academics,Club activities are there. it will enhance your leadership skills. Try to participate in this activities
Better environment and infrastructure in and around the campus.

Dislikes

No nearby shops around the campus.Nearest shops are in sriram nagar,which is in 2.5 km distance.

Internships Opportunities:

The internships are given from the college via DOTE and also from other companies. There is Mini project and main project in academic itself. Apart from this, THIRAN is a platform to show your talent. Alumni support is excellent in college.Many process are carried out by the support of alumni.

Likes

I liked the atmosphere of this college it has ah nice natural environment which we can get a peaceful mind.
Since it is a rural we can feel the cultural heritage of the college and the karaikkudi
It has a nice quality infrastructures and very good faculties

Dislikes

The staffs are rude sometimes and the students will always support the staffs
It is a average importance for sports and there is no recognizition for sports.

Internships Opportunities:

The government will provide free internships at top companies to every 60 students in every dept. The internships are provided in NSIC, Lucas TVs, Southern railways and Neyveli lignite corporation. totally very good

Good college but no placements.

Likes

The atmosphere of the college will be greenish and will be cool.
Most of the staffs will be students friendly.
This college will give equal importance to sports.

Dislikes

Infrastructure will not that good compared to other private college.Among government colleges,the infrastructure is good.
Some staffs will notice your activities and reduce your internals.
Placements are only for IT fields,there are less options for core.

I have opted NLC India Pvt.Limited through our efforts.The college has provide internship for some students, based on their reservations, and provide stipend.I have been a engineer trainee for 25 days.We have analysed the SME Gearbox.

The freedom we students get and extrq curricular activities we involve through various clubs available
A very large campus of 200 acers with greenery

Dislikes

As it's a government college everything takes time to done and the infrastructure is average not too good . The equipment available in laboratory are 25 percent not in working condition.
As the college is in remote location not much facilities are available in short distance we beed to. Walk average of 1km to reach claaa from hostel

Placement Experience:

A separate staff is there. To take care placement from 7ty semester we can appear for placement A total of more than 50 companies are visiting the campus with highest package of 7.4lpa and average package of 3.5lpa The placement percentage ranges frok 80 to 90 .

The bathroom sometimes may not be clean it some time i dont disliked

At in 4 sem, they will give a placement class and in the final year starting onwards, lots of the company have been coming for placement. companies like ZOHO, Land T, ABC, etc. The highest package is around 8 to 9 lakhs per year and the average package is 3 to 4 lakhs per year. Since our college was established in the 1960s, Most of the alumni of our college are now working in many multinational companies around the world. They provide opportunities for the students to get internships in their company. For the 2022-2023 academic year, a Total of 10 students from ece and eee departments went to 1 month internship in the Overhaul Division of HAL Bangalore.
