Just about my college

Likes

The environment of the college is good and peaceful
Placement and internship opportunities are appreciatable.
This college have well skilled labs and professors.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is not good and old
Total strength of the college is less when compared to other colleges.
Other activities like culturals and functions not conducted regularly.

Admission:

I have applied for many top government colleges but I got civil engineering in this college.so I choosed this college which felt better for me as compared to other colleges that I have applied for admission.

ACGCET Karaikudi review (personal experience)

Likes

Affordability in fees and you can complete the entire degree in 2 lakhs
Many scholarships are provided to the students
The alumini network is very strong in the college, as it is one the oldest college in india

Dislikes

As it is in a tier 4 town, the exposure we students get is very low
Placement isn't very satisfactory than compared to private colleges
The hostel food and rooms are decent at best

Admission:

I tried to give JEE and get into a IIT or NIT, however I fell short in my preparation and I sadly couldn't make it. A factor that drove me to pick this college was it's affordability.I felt it's better than private colleges.

Infrastructure has been good and well developed
Had a very good quality time at the college it was good while it lasted

Dislikes

Sometimes things doesn't get maintained or the surrounding are not well maintained

I have applied for coimbatore colleges also but I got here coz I was not having enough cutoff to get selected but instead I got selected in a very reputed college ever been alagappa Chettiar government college of engineering and technology at my time of joining the cut off was about 165 above for second round

Likes

Good Importance to sports.Sports day and culturals are conducted every academic year.
Other than academics,Club activities are there. it will enhance your leadership skills. Try to participate in this activities
Better environment and infrastructure in and around the campus.

Dislikes

No nearby shops around the campus.Nearest shops are in sriram nagar,which is in 2.5 km distance.

Admission:

I prefer for government college, so I picked up this college.In counselling,I had 185 cutoff and i got seat in mechanical engineering in this college.The admission process is very simple and during admission in college,hostel admission also takes place.I put this college as first in choice filling during counselling.

Likes

I liked the atmosphere of this college it has ah nice natural environment which we can get a peaceful mind.
Since it is a rural we can feel the cultural heritage of the college and the karaikkudi
It has a nice quality infrastructures and very good faculties

Dislikes

The staffs are rude sometimes and the students will always support the staffs
It is a average importance for sports and there is no recognizition for sports.

Admission:

Since it is a government college..you have to get a seat in this college through TNEA counselling If you have a reservation..you will have a preference in availing the seat in this college. The counselling will start after the board exams are completed.

Good college but no placements.

Likes

The atmosphere of the college will be greenish and will be cool.
Most of the staffs will be students friendly.
This college will give equal importance to sports.

Dislikes

Infrastructure will not that good compared to other private college.Among government colleges,the infrastructure is good.
Some staffs will notice your activities and reduce your internals.
Placements are only for IT fields,there are less options for core.

Admission:

The whole admission will be through online,I have applied through tnea.online. The seats will be reserved based on their cutoff.The cutoff will be vary based on their reservations.The whole process is through online, that may be changed.

The freedom we students get and extrq curricular activities we involve through various clubs available
A very large campus of 200 acers with greenery

Dislikes

As it's a government college everything takes time to done and the infrastructure is average not too good . The equipment available in laboratory are 25 percent not in working condition.
As the college is in remote location not much facilities are available in short distance we beed to. Walk average of 1km to reach claaa from hostel

Admission:

As the admission is only through tnea it's easy to apply every process is well defined with YouTube videos. Many reservations scheme also provided as per TN government rules the eligible criteria to apply is we should have passed the 12th grade

Suppose we keep the arrears we dont place in good conpany
The bathroom sometimes may not be clean it some time i dont disliked
The books in the libraray was some times not enough for us

Likes

College and hostel life is very best as i have lot of friends
Faculties and seniors are friendly with students and offered best knowledge of papers
Fees are affordable even for poor people, scholarships and Events , occassions

Dislikes

Placement facilities for Mech,Civil students.No placements for Core ppl

Admission:

In Alagappa chettiar government Engg College, CSE and ECE courses are only good for placement.While other courses won't have placement opportunities.If you want to take the admission in this college,you have to attend through Anna University counseling process, So you will be having less fee and scholarship as its government college.And also you can join privately but fees is little high. Admission is as per goverment standards.
