1. I personally choosed this course because I wanted to have chemistry as my main subject in my masters and PHD. But being from biology background I mean PCB, one cant get chem hons degree from DU. But if ypu opt for B.Sc life Sci you can convert it to 4 years program under the new education policy and get a chem/botany/zoology hons degree. 2. Improvement is something which is never enough yet I can suggest that rather than writting assignments or practical files we can make ppt out of them ans present it. It would be helpful in the real world i guess. 3. Each course carries 80 marks, split between internal and external assessments. For chemistry, this totals 160 marks, evenly divided between practical and theory. The exams are manageable if you attend lectures; otherwise, you might struggle. Two internal theory tests are given, with difficulty varying by teacher, plus one internal practical assessment.

I chose this course because I wanted to study Botany, zoology and chemistry altogether. Curriculum is really good, we have a manadatory visit to different places to know more about the subject. For our first semester we went to aravali biodiversity park as a project work. Sometime syllabus of theory and practical has a vast difference so some focus and improvement can be done in this. I gave only one semester exams till now and result is not out yet. But level of exam was moderate.

I wanted him to go for a BSc in Biotechnology if we talk about Govt. Universities only CURAJ( Central University of Rajasthan) offers this course but that too is a 5-year integrated program i.e. Bsc+Msc if you're fine with it go ahead but for me, I wanted to opt for graduation first, With life Science I can opt for Biotech., Biochem, Microbio, Bio Business and many more as this course includes all bio courses below it same like how PCMB students can go for anything while in 12th I narrowed my way by taking PCB that's why I didn't wanted to repeat same situation. Here in DSC, I'm experiencing more than I had expected, Science labs are so clean and they provide and let us Practice a lot!! , we get individual specimens to work on and Teachers are very frank more than what we had in schools, It feels so cool whatever we imagined being a research student we are experiencing more than expected. Teachers are highly qualified, after all, we are talking about DU teachers.

I chose BSc life sc. because I had a great interest in chemistry. I really wanted to do some courses related to it. Chemistry Hons was my first priority but later I came to know that I needed maths for that and didn't opt marks in my 11th and 12th standard. The faculty of my college is really nice. There are approximately 77 students in my class. These 77 students are divided into 4 groups. There are different teachers for different groups and we get nice attention and teaching. Also, the faculty was well-qualified. The main examinations were held at the end of each semester. But we have internal tests and practicals going on in between. Some of the tests were hard while some of them were easy.

The faculty are good some of them are PhDs and are very well at teaching as well. The faculty ratio is also very good maybe a 40:60: : women to men MSC, Mtech, and even PhDs teach here. The examinations were conducted on time.

The faculty overall is too good, their teaching methods are too good and the teachers are so supportive in nature. They are ready to help with all the cases. They give us regular assignments and projects to check our knowledge
Studying the life sciences will provide you with a foundation of knowledge domains and ways of exploring the planet. The life sciences pervade numerous aspects of our lives – from health care to the environment, to debates about somatic cell research and genetic testing. While dramatic scientific progress has been made in recent decades, such a lot remains unknown. • I don't know the exact ratio of student and faculty but I can make you sure that you will be having the best staff of teaching with great enthusiasm and with the best they can provide • all the faculty members are well qualified and all have done there Ph.D. and are pursuing there PhD • there are semester wise examinations in between you will have your internals and assignment if you will study on time take all the classes on time you will not find your exams difficult at all
The quality of teaching is good. Our faculty learn everything before teaching in our class. Yes curriculum is updated one. And it makes students Industry ready. The college believes in learning by doing, and the curriculum is structured in a way where we work on projects every semester where we apply our knowledge. The professors here are very approachable.
The student ratio for biology courses is 35-50 only. I chose life sciences because it is the vastest course which includes Botany zoology chemistry and we get to study biotech, biochem, immunology cell biology and several other subjects combined in one course so I got very fascinated of the course because you never get bored while studying program courses than an Hons. course. the faculty is good here and since it is a programming course we get the exposure of three departments here, out of three departments Botany department is best and if you want to pursue Botany hons. you should not think much before getting into college. all the staff and faculty is highly qualified. The chemistry department is full of the most experienced and helpful teachers, very punctual, disciplined and amiable but zoology department is WORST out of all so if you want to pursue zoology hons. from this college please go for some other. PROS: well experienced, and highly knowledgable saff CONS: zoology department
