Are any hostel facilities available at PMCH Patna?

Yes, PMC provides different hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms are two-seater. Sometimes students need to divide a room among three. One seater room is available only for 4th years students and interns only. Rooms are well equipped and well managed and the food is average. The fee for one month is around INR 1500.

Is there any stipend given to MBBS interns in PMCH Patna?

Yes, stipends are provided to MBBS candidates at PMCH. For an Intern in PMCH, a sum of INR 15,000 is paid as stipend. For Externs, there is no provision of any stipend. In fact, there is uniformity in stipend among all medical colleges of Bihar.

Is there any management quota in PMCH?

No, there is no Management quota in PMCH Patna. Admission occurs under state quota, all india quota and central nominee quota. Candidates interested need to appear for the entrance exams first, i.e, NEET UG for MBBS and NEET PG for postgraduate courses. Candidates who qualify the entrance with a valid score must appear for counselling for seat allotment.

Likes

Patient flow is too good so we can have good patient exposure
Seniors are coperative they help us during wards and exams
Going to be asia biggest emergency with 5000+ beds

Dislikes

Some parts are still under construction creates mess
Roads are not good because of construction work
Hostels are under construction so first year student wont get hostel on time

Internships Opportunities:

1 year of internship is mandatory With the particular course Internship provide full exposure to patient And how you should communicate and deal with patient independently Intern are the backbone of hospital since doctors is to patient ratio is very less So interns handle maximum cases leading to maximum exposure

Likes

Pmch is one the oldest and biggest collge of bihar after AIIMS
The collge is going to complete 100years .it has a lot of patient flow
The professor are very well .they are so humble and polite

Dislikes

Pmch lacks ground courts like badminton court volleyball court
During rainy season road and street goes mudy and very difficult to travel
Infrastructure is quite old but new building and infrastructure are on upgrade

Internships Opportunities:

After 4 and half year during internship period of 1year .u have to work in pmch with a lot of patient flow.you will work under the guidance of senior doctor and during internship u will get a little bit of money but u will also get a lot of pride and respect

PMCH one of the oldest medical college in Asia

Likes

Patient load is very high so when one get postings and ward visit, they surely gonna learn and see many Medical cases . It gives great medical knowledge and help learning dealing with different medical cases.
HODs and professors are expert , very knowledgable & helpful.Regular classes.Practicals&labs are also very good. Overall you'll get nice medical knowledge one should learn or have over here. Interaction between teachers and students is very healthy.
Doctors are so polite and calm. They listen each and every details of your concern.

Dislikes

Infrastructure now is not that good but construction work is going on. Hope sooner it will get better.
Problem of water logging is common like even a mere rain creates mess.

Internships Opportunities:

Pmch is completely a government college. After completing Mbbs we get 1 year mandatory internship opportunities. Stipend during internship is approx 20,000rs per month. A mbbs degree holder can get job of JR anywhere. Why a MBBS student of state's best college not get a job. And medical field do require many doctors. The patient load is so high that government has to provide doctors to them .

In my college we study about human body.
All the faculties of my college are well qualified
Faculties of my college are doctors. They taught us in a great way

Dislikes

There are nothing to be disliked, but something are
First year student did not get the college's hostel
Be did not get much break between the classes that make us feel tired

Internships Opportunities:

After the completion of fourth or final year you have to do your internship in the same college. You will be paid for that. In the internship you have to check the patient and treat them. Internship is of 1 year

The location of the college is really awesome
The environment is also so good its greenery everywhere
The interaction of the administration with students is also so good

Dislikes

Infrastructure is so poor as it is so old
Seniors doesn’t sound so good from what i heard
There is no hostel allotment for 1st yr students

Its medical field so theres no companies out there but college trains u for like a year There's clinical posting for every department with a fixed schedule either in rural or urban hospitals to provide treatment

Dislikes

Because the college is undergoing constructions, so facilities such as ground is lacking. There is not much of sports facilities in the college as of now.
After completion of the constructions, the college would be the second largest medical college of asia.

Internships Opportunities:

The mbbs course itself includes 1 year compulsory internshipin which a stipend of 20000 is paid per month. You are posted in every department and it is a great opportunity to learn. The internship duties are hectic but a great time to learn and grow.

Clinical exposure being a major highlight of this college providing a top notch hands on experience if the students is showing interest in learning
Hostels for time being of a year or so are scarce in number but some new hostels are no less than a 2 to 3 star hotels .
The freedom of living you get in this college is immeasurable

Dislikes

Academics being a letdown as same as the the other medical colleges
Support from the faculty is very less as seen in all the years of curriculum
Castism is very prevalent in the colleges of Bihar and PMCH is no exception.

Internships Opportunities:

The mandatory intership of MBBS is of 1 year. In this period you will be posted in different branches for a particular amount of time to test the knowledge you have gained in the 4 years of MBBS. The internship provides a opportunity to apply the knowledge to the real life scenarios and prepare a fledgling to a full fledged doctor

patient load is very high here- it's among highest in india.so, it's very good for clinical exposure and learning.
Most of the professors here are highly qualified.they can be great help to budding doctors.
it's going to be 2nd largest hospital in Asia in terms of numbers of bed.Although heavy construction going in around college,but once finished it will be like a medical Also it's located in the heart of patna , hence every thing is accessible easily.

Dislikes

Campus is built in less area as compared to central institute like AIIMS.
Campus life is not that great.however mammoth scale construction going on in the college and hence scope for improvement.

Internships Opportunities:

1 year compulsory rotatory internship program is conducted as per NMC norms. you are paid ?20000 per month .You learn a lots of Hands on experience and skills as patient load is very high. You are trained to become a competent Indian Medical Graduate.

Academic is the best one and all facilities are good
Campus Life is not so good but in future it becomes the best one
Infrastructure is going to become world class till 2027and world 2nd largest hospital

Course is very hectic so if you are not interested not choose this field
Campus is not so good this time but in future it is one of the best
Sometimes we felt this course is boring and time taking.

Internships Opportunities:

After final year a period of 1year is internship during which you got stipend of about 20 k/month.and after that you get your degree and now you become the registered medical practitioner and now you can do job in any hospital and you can open your own clinic.

Dislikes

Campus life is very poor, nothing interesting
Hostels are allotted very late to the first year medicos
At begging it is difficult to accommodate due to little bit of ragging

Internship and Externship are available, first one is paid and the other one is not paid. You get so many patient to treat over here that's what it's needed to be a good clinician. Duties duration is very hectic.
