The yearly fees may vary for categories for open category there are two types of students one whose parents have income less than 8 lakh get 50 percent benifit in tuition fees and one whose parents have above 8 lakh income have to pay full fees amount , hostel fees same for every category student, while sc and st category students don't have to pay any fees , the vj and nt category students have to pay 10 percent of tuition fees along with hostel fees and development fees.
I am open category student paying 490000 since my parents have below 8 lakh income aling with my 750000 hostel fees .my other student of sc and st category students pay 750000 hostel fees and zero tuition fees.
The fee structure for Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundations Medical College and Hospital in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra for 2025 is as follows:
MBBS: Tuition fee of ?36.67 lakh for 66 months
MD: Tuition fee of ?24 lakh
MS: Tuition fee of ?24 lakh
So about 110000 per year
The hostel fees depends upon which hostel you choose. There are about 7 hostels including the boys and the girls hostels
For the year which I took admission in , fees for open category were 8,15,000 and scholarship is available on the basis of categories. Also, based on family income scholarships are provided. Internship is provided in the college itself for 365 days viz paid.
The fee structure of the year I started my course i.e 2019-20 was 7,50,000 INR for OPEN category excluding the hostel and other minor fees. For students of other categories, scholarships are provided hence the structure doesn't put much burden on families of low socioeconomic groups. As per the medical curriculum, after completion of degree one year internship is included in the course. The college provides stipend for this work period.
A good scholarship offered by the government through the college is available for people from different categories, and also there for OPEN category. For open category students, they is a reduction in half the fees if a few requirements are fullfilled. But it's not exactly half as the college gets a part of the money. You save some amount of money as something is better than nothing.
Scholarship facilities are offered not by the college itself but through government policies based on the income and category various scholarships are offered and loan facility is aloso offered to those cannot get scholarship
Our university offers us with many loqns including Economically Backward Class and Dhanwantri Scheme and the Ean while you Learn scheme. These scholarships are from MUHS and are hughly advantageous for children who are deprived of quality education
The student section is very helpful and all faculty member are helpful for scholarship It is distributed by govt of Maharashtra to category student and all members help in case of any difficulty in case of filling form
Loan facilities are available at different banks. The college does offer government scholarships for different category students and for the economically backward classes.
The student section is very helpful in these cases.
