Navigating medical education

Likes

Our new skill lab development giving us in hand experience
The college committee supporting extra curricular activities
Great hod staffs for some specific subjects

Dislikes

Campus is still developing and under construction
Liw patient input output compared to colleges in city
Location of the college is in secluded areas in Bangalore

Internships Opportunities:

We have 365 days of internship! No holidays on national holidays or Sundays! And 2 night duties in a week! Pretty hectic not well paid! Not that busy with patient income and outcome but helps us get exposed to the hospital environment and handling of patients

Library is good and external library is available and it is good
Staff is friendly with students and well experienced
College block is very good and well infrasture

Dislikes

Patient inflow is low and hospital should improve in std
No proper management of hospital and college block
No proper skill lab session and practical session

Internships Opportunities:

There is 19 department and we should do 365 days compulsory and they will post 3 months in community medicine and it include phc for 1 month and 1 month for rural and anganwadi where will learn all procedure They will give 10000 per month as prescribed by govt of karnataka

OPD charges in all departments is free every department
Every department has adequate professor and good
Teachers are good well experienced and well

Dislikes

College management providing facility not good
Does not pay good stipend to interns and work as hell
No proper management and care for patients

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is around three sixty five days and different departments are posted and we will be posted to different primary health care centres and community health care centres and government hospitals

Everything you need to know

Likes

Professors and the classes taken are very interesting
Labs and dissection hours are effective and hands on activities
The clinical postings and patient examination is very useful.

Dislikes

Canteen is very good and food in hostel not satisfactory

Internships Opportunities:

One year of internship during undergraduate degree of MBBS with stipend There are around 19 departments and shuold work for specific time period in each department during internship and that gives a hands on experience with patients.

Life saving is great art

Likes

The college infrastructure is good and management is friendly with students
The management is recieving fees 1 year earlier than course start
The teachers are well experienced and freindly with students

Dislikes

The hospital infrastructure is under developed and
No proper skill lab sessions and practical session
Less no pf seats in canteen, which should be increased

There is one year internship that is compulsory for every person and they wiil give minimum stipened prescribed by government that is 10,000 and we will have psm for 3 months and we will learn all skill that required for ug students is enough

Likes

College campus is nice with good class ambience with newly built class rooms
OPD charges in all departments is free of cost and affordable to even common people
Every department has adequate professors with good Teaching patterns

Dislikes

Less patients to the hospital so postings were not that good you don't learn well
No proper skill lab sessions and practical sessions
No proper management of hospital and college block

Internships Opportunities:

1 year rotatory internship is compulsory to all in our hospital with decent stipend of 10000 per month rotatory internship comsist of opd ward night duties day duties in all departments You get proper exposure to patients and you learn well

Likes

Improvement of skill lab , which I like the most
The library development, externals is also good
Faculty members and their teaching skills for students

Dislikes

Washrooms, which need to be improved a bit
Less number of chairs in canteen , which need to be increased
Cleanliness need to be improved a bit, now it’s better

Internships Opportunities:

There is one year of internship, they will give stipend of 10000 per month presently, might increase in future Community medicine postings for 3 months , we will be posted in phcs We have to all kinds of work in internship like collecting samples, suturing,iv,etc The most beautiful part is , we will get a chance to assist in certain surgeries

Medical life

Likes

Teachers are good and experienced and are kind
Doctors are experienced and the teaching is good
Campus Life is good with colourful events and they also conduct games and quiz where you can win prizes too

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not upto the mark. Hospital is not well developed
Stipend is also less compared to other government colleges
Skills are not being thought properly due to lack of infrastructure

Internships Opportunities:

We will be having one year of internship with a stipend very less compared to other government medical colleges. And also less clinical exposure compared to other government colleges. It would be good if they pay us more stipend

Memories that thought many lessons

Likes

Our college got recognition from NMC for UG and NBEMS Accredited which is very Good
It is also improving in infrastructure, Library
Getting good amount of patients visit ( OPD CASES )

Dislikes

Hospital infrastructure has to upgraded a lot
Even the poor students should be affordable to pay the extra fees
Collecting college fees a year before the commencement of the academic year..Even after University warning all the colleges these people continuing same..

Internships Opportunities:

We will have 1 year of internship and coming to the stipend its less compared to the govt medicals colleges and the minimum amount prescribed by the govt of karnataka.. It would be better if they increase our stipends..

MY COLLEGE

Likes

The keep cultural programs regularly which is so nice
And the hospital facility is improving a lot more nowadays
They provide stiphend during internship which is helpful

Dislikes

The rest rooms in the hospital wards is bad
Too many Dogs around the campus which is scary
Really mean people are there and I don’t like it

Internships Opportunities:

In mbbs there is a compulsory internship of 1 year should be done to graduate . They let us assist few procedures and teach us during internship which is helpful for us to improve our skills and gain confidence.
