Internships are provided as part of the masters program in applied nutrition. The internships were aimed at providing us a clinical exposure to the field and gaining some practical experience. We were also taught how to interact with the patients, how to deal with them and son.

There is an internship in the second year, provided by the Institute itself. No stipend was provided to us, but that may change in the subsequent years. The internship opportunity was a great experience and helps the students learn a lot and gain practical experience and exposure to dealing with real life patients that they will deal once they are in the field.

The college has a decent placement record also they provide training to the student in order to groom them for a job interview and internships which can benefit them in the long run. The college has on-campus recruitment drives.

The college has a conventional placement record about 70% of students were placed and some of them got an internship in reputed organizations. The college helps students who have great academic records with jobs and internships.

placement cell was good there are too many job opportunity students have like Research Scientist: A Research Scientist has the role of designing, undertaking and analyzing information obtained from controlled lab-based experiments and investigations. As a Research Scientist a student can choose to work in a government lab, environmental organisation, etc. Junior Research Fellow: The job role of a Junior Research Fellow includes doing research, conducting research-related development activities, publishing scientific work and its results and so on. Along with JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), candidates are also usually involved pursuing a PhD programme. Mathematician: A mathematician uses advanced theories and techniques of Mathematics to develop and understand mathematical principles and solve real-world problems in business, government, engineering, social sciences, etc.

Nutrition and Dietetics is an emerging field of healthcare therefore students can find jobs in both government and private sectors, Health Departments, Schools & Colleges, Sports and Health Clubs, Research and Development Centres, Private Consultant/Practitioner etc. Students from our field have been placed as Clinical Dietitian, Management Dietitian, Consultant Dietitian, Nutrition Research Scientist and such.

The scope of this stream is increasing and involves both ward based consultations and looking after medical inpatients. Students can be employed at Clinical Science centers, Medical Research, Teaching and Hospital Management as Endocrinologist, Diabetologist, etc.

In our college, placements are very bad because they don't provide placements to students. They demand money from students to provide placements, and when placements are provided but not in a good city or town. They offer placements in very far places. So, in our college, placements are not good.

The placement is good and we get hired as a researcher by the government. Even the private firms are investing in such courses where they offer a good package. They conduct national nutrition program and hire people to conduct surveys and formulate the policies for the benefit of the society.

As the country is working immensely towards the healthy lifestyle of the citizens, this course has emerged as an important tool to conduct researches. Therefore, there are ample of employment opportunities available in the food industry.
