NIN Admission
NIN Hyderabad conducts direct admissions into its Post-Graduate Certificate Course in Nutrition (PGCCN). The course is offered once every year, and candidates are offered admission based on an offline application submission to NIN, which will evaluate applicant eligibility through an eligibility-based screening process as part of their admission procedure.

NIN Application Process
- Application forms must be downloaded from NIN’s website: @www.nin.res.in
- Once completed, applicants must provide photocopies of the required documentation.
- Completed applications may be sent via Registered Post/Courier/Hand Delivery to NIN.
- No emailed applications will be accepted.
- All applications must arrive at NIN before the specified cut-off date (e.g. 12 November for the 2026 Batch).

PGCCN (Certificate Course)
- Master's in Life Sciences OR Bachelor's in Medical/Health Sciences: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, BUMS, BNYS, Pharmacy, Allied Health;
M.Sc. Applied Nutrition
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. ) - Nutrition and dietetics/Food Science/Home Science ; or Life Sciences - biochemistry; Microbiology; Zoology; Physiology; Biotechnology
M.Sc. Sports Nutrition
- Bachelor’s in Nutrition/Life Sciences/Physiotherapy/Physical Education/Allied Health/Sports Science
PhD (for all streams in life sciences)
- Master's Degree (M.Sc) in Nutrition, applied nutrition, food and nutrition, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, and other areas related to life sciences.
- Must pass one of these exams: ICMR-JRF, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, DBT-BET, or GATE to obtain a PhD.
Internships/Dissertation
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. is also available for students majoring in nutrition/dietetics/food science/biochemistry/life sciences with appropriate department approval.
Admission Process
- Applicants can download the application from NIN's official website (www.nin.res.in).
- Complete and submit the form along with photocopies of their educational certificates.
- Payment of INR 1,000 through a demand draft made out to The Director, NIN, Hyderabad.
- Submit completed applications either through Reger's mail, Courier or Hand delivery.
- All completed applications must be received by NIN on or prior to the application due dates (e.g. 12th November for the 2026 cohort).
- The applications received will be reviewed, and those candidates meeting the eligibility and preferred criteria will be shortlisted.
- Once the candidate pays the full fee (INR 50,000), final admission will be confirmed.
Entrance Exam

- M.Sc. Applied Nutrition: NTRUHS Entrance Exam (MCQs) + Counselling
- M.Sc. Sports Nutrition: Entrance Exam + Counselling through NTRUHS/NIN
