I am a student of Medical College Kolkata, so I’ll try to justify joining this college for your MBBS-

1. It is an old college with a great faculty. 
2. The competition is quite high over here, so you’ll need to work really hard.
3. The hospital sees a lot of patients daily, so you’ll get great exposure.
4. The college street has ‘Boipara’ i.e. a street of books. Over here, you’ll find all the required books. Across the street, there is a stall that offers books at a good discounted rate.
5. MCK is a brand in itself, and a dream of many medical aspirants.
6. The seniors are very helpful and supportive. They will help you from the very start of your MBBS journey. 

NEIGRIHMS is a good college as well.But being an alumnus of KMC, I would encourage you to consider this college for your medical studies.

The best way to determine the best college for you is to compare them on the basis of the following components.

• History: Medical College Kolkata is one of the oldest medical colleges established in 1835 while AIIMS Patna is relatively new established in 2012.
• Infrastructure: Being an institute of national importance, AIIMS Patna has the best infrastructure and campus facilities that are at the same level as MCK 
• Patient load: Being old, MCK has a better patient inflow than AIIMS Patna and thus offers better clinical exposure.
• Location: MCK is situated in College Street, a well-developed area in contrast to AIIMS Patna which is situated on the outskirts of the city. 
• PG Reservation: No PG reservation in AIIMS Patna while there is a PG reservation in MCK.
• Brand value: The AIIMS tag holds more power and credibility than any other r medical college.
• Security: AIIMS Patna AIIMS is extremely safe and well-guarded while MCK has a record of thefts in the past.
• Hostels: AIIMS Patna has excellent hostel facilities and provides single rooms from the first year itself while MCK allows multiple sharing rooms.

Both medical colleges have excellent faculty and deliver equally good education. So, ultimately it’s best to determine the best institute based on your own preferences.

• The most significant feature of this college is the Internal State Reservation Of PG Seats.

• It’s a very old college, established in 1835. As the saying goes Old is Gold. The faculty is more experienced here.

• Being a metropolitan city, Kolkata has a lot to offer in terms of amenities.

The deciding factor should be your own convenience and abilities. The final decision is yours.
