- I was quite late at my application, which missed my chance to get into the university I preferred the most, but I accepted the offer from this university being a reputed one along with its location being in a area where I can found huge Indian community which helped me ease my journey.
- No pressure to study, if you wish to attend the lecture you can or you can leave , you just need to focus on assignments or some in-class exams. So I liked this as studying should never be a compulsion.
Dislikes
- The way of teaching through PPTs is what I dislike about my university or any other Canadian college or university as there should be some better approach.
Campus Life
Campus life is great at the university with high maintained campus with a university center which helps student meet and study where major food facilities are also available. University keeps arranging workshops and event to engage student so you can take part if you want. Yes all facilities like Wifi, sports, library is great.
Accommodation
Accommodation is quite expensive in Canada. Hence, I choose to stay off-campus. Offcampus cost for a sharing room (for 2) is approx. 500CAD , you need to cook your own food and if you choose to share groceries then approx. 200-400CAD depending upon what you eat. If you choose for a tiffin service a single meal cost 10CAD so approx. 300CAD for one time meal for a month.
Campus Life
It’s a way unexceptional in good manner because my campus all the facilities for their students.
Accommodation
It’s very nice, and I got a reasonable rental cost as per my budget.
Campus Life
Lots of extra clubs and events on campus, and the library is awesome for studying, except when you sign out textbooks, it's only for 1 week with no renewals or rebooking, which sucks. The wifi is pretty fast.
Accommodation
There are study abroad programs, too, but I never looked so deeply into them to know the details about them like that.

- I choose this university because I saw the program was really good and it was in a peaceful and Canada's third most safest city Guelph. I personally like peaceful natural cities and guelph is one of them. Moreover this university has a huge diversity and i got opportunity to collaborate with a lot of different people belonging to different nationality apart from Indians.
Campus Life
Awesome, as I didn't hear much about this university from a lot of students, I was bit skeptical, but I found university to be on par with top university campuses in Canada. Moreover I would say the university has so many good vegetarian food options which is also a plus point. Plus all other facilities are awesome, wifi is very fast, library is my most liked place, sports facilities are enormous.
Accommodation
I got accommodation in a apartment its a well designed apartment and quite affordable in sharing. It costs me around 460 dollars for 2bhk in 5 sharing.

- The campus is beautiful, large, the motto of university is to ‘improve life’, psychology program is great, and the rank is 482 (world rank).
Campus Life
There are SO MANY VARIOUS clubs on campus. Library has a lot of student support. Wifi is accessible free everywhere on campus.
Accommodation
University has a lot of options to get into residence on campus. Infrastructure is planned in a perfect way to help accommodate disable students as well.

- My rational for choosing the program was the interesting breakdown of the program. The courses aligned with my interests in being a food industry professional. There were many relatives in Guelph and moving here would help me feel home away from home.
- The amazing people and hostile environment about the University is great to talk about. You get to meet and connect with people from diverse backgrounds and work experiences.
- This platform of knowledge transfer molded me to have better communication and improved social networking in my non-academic life.
Dislikes
- Honestly, there is nothing I like I dislike about the University. A drawback to my transition in the University of Guelph, would be the first snow that was inconvenient while transiting to classes.
- The online classes during COVID period prevented much one on one meetings in person and communication was broken many times.
Campus Life
There are so many social networking events on campus. The exciting part is each ethnic background gets chance and facilities to celebrate their national events!
Accommodation
Living in the University is expensive. Much better to take a house off campus.

- Location. Guelph is hub of Mechanical/ automotive industry , and it helped me After my graduation. Within a week I got my field job
- Variety of courses, campus and material availability with good research facilities. There is no specific type that particular course is available for particular course only. We can choose any course we like it's irrelevant of any stream.
Dislikes
- Fees little bit high and they keep increasing it every year. Every semester has different fees, in my opinion it should be same for every sem. If you are doing MENG , it's not that worth compared to MASC.
Campus Life
Campus is excellent and extracurricular activities are happening giving good experience to bond with locals. There is a football ground, basketball court, gym and other sports with tournaments happening.
Accommodation
I used to live off campus, it's cheap and affordable compared to on campus and there is a waiting list for on campus accommodation. I paid 450 dollars monthly on share basis, in Guelph accommodation is hard to find and little bit costly compared to other cities.
I choose this university because I am familiar with it as I had completed my Diploma in Humber College that is opposite to the university building. So, I know the environment and pattern of the study. It is one of the best University in Canada that offers many opportunities for your career.
Accommodation
I rented an apartment with my friends from university. It cost me about 300-400 CAD per month for a shared room.
I applied to 4-5 universities based on the rankings. And I only got an offer letter from the University of Guelph hence I had no other options.
Accommodation
I haven't had the chance to visit the place yet because of the pandemic.
Because of the amount of liberty we have in choosing courses in our program. I can choose to take very diverse courses which may or may not contribute to my major or minor. Also in the engineering sciences, there is an emphasis on design which was really intriguing to me.
