What students say about Lakehead University

- They could use some improvement, but overall, I believe that they are preparing us to be great nurses.
- Individual programs may also have internship opportunities; these opportunities are program-specific, so it is better to ask your faculty.
- The university organizes a career fair every year, where various employers come to hire people in different domains.
- Its a bit medium-to-large campus, full of nature. We have an on-campus lake and forest with so many ducks.
- On top of this, parking should be free since we already pay $7500 or more a year to attend the university.
- Others are excellent and care very much about their students success, doing whatever they can to help us understand the content.
- Since there is a lot of competition in the field of computer science, Lakehead was the best option for me.

- As I don't have a much work experience , it's hard to get admit from other famous universities , thunder bay is more affordable. null
I am loving it . It's a hassle - free life here , with less people and no traffic . Education is going good , so many activities and parties on campus to network and socialize with many people . Help for mental stress. A bit of housing crisis and part time , as it's more competitive and more people are doing more than 30 hours .Had a great international exposure in class , students from different countries - china , Vietnam , India , Canada , Ghana , Nigeria , Turkey , Iran , Myanmar , Bangladesh , japan , Korea etc.
Great for research. The subjects were really great. The co-op options were really good to get real-life experience.
Well, I am more interested in the field of Data Science. Since there is a lot of competition in the computer science field, Lakehead was the best option for me.
Because Lakehead University blends academic excellence and opportunity with a rich variety of social and recreational activities. It is excellent in research and career opportunities.
First and foremost, the campus and location. I love Northern Ontario and it's wildlife. There is an overwhelming feeling of calm whenever I am in Thunder Bay from the moment I land, very different from the hustle and bustle of Toronto. Secondly, the faculty. I first met the faculty at a college/university fair in Toronto in my grade 12 year, and they were so nice and welcoming. They weren't condescending or judgmental and answered all my questions - unlike the other schools. Thirdly, I wanted to be out on my own. Thunder Bay is very far from my home and when I was coming here, that's what I needed.
