Academic Qualification

  • Degree Requirement: A completed undergraduate degree with high academic standing, or qualifications accepted as equivalent by the School of Graduate Studies.
  • GPA Requirement: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.30 scale.
  • GMAT Score: A minimum GMAT score in the 50th percentile. 
  • Academic Preparation: Students without formal training in quantitative methods, accounting, economics, and finance must demonstrate adequate preparation.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant full-time work experience. The average work experience of students in the program is 3.5 years.
  • GMAT Waiver: It can be waived if have:
    • Passed CFA Level I. OR
    • An undergraduate degree from a Canadian university with a minimum CGPA of 3.3/4.3.
  • Accelerated Option Additional Requirements:
    • CFA Level 1 Completion: Successfully completed CFA Level 1 with high standing or equivalent qualifications accepted.
    • Work Experience: Minimum of two years relevant full-time work experience required.
  • Competitive Admission: Admission is competitive, and only applicants with high academic standing will be considered.

NOTE: High standing typically refers to an honours degree or a GPA equivalent to at least a B average (approximately 3.00 on a 4.30 scale).

Exemption From English Proficiency Requirement
  • Exemptions apply if you’ve completed three years of full-time study in English at an accredited institution.

English Language Requirement

  • IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 7.0, with no band less than 6.5 in each section.
  • TOEFL (iBT): Score of 95, with no band less than 20 in each section.
  • Pearson Academic (PTE): Overall score of 61, with no section score less than 53.
  • Cambridge English Qualifications (C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency): Minimum score of 180.
  • Duolingo English Test (DET): Overall score of 120 or higher.
  • CAEL: Overall score of 70.

To apply for the M.Eng Information Systems Security program of Concordia University you must have taken IELTS Academic and have an overall score of 6.5 with no individual score less than 6.5.

To apply for the MBA program of Concordia Univesity, you must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.3 from a recognized college/university. You must also have a GMAT score of 580 and above plus a valid language proficiency test score in English or French. Along with these a minimum of two-years full-time work experience is required.
