- Overall reputation and ranking of the university is good
- Faculty is good and very helpful
- Huge campus with a lot of facilities like multiple libraries, gym, swimming pool.
Dislikes
- There is nothing I didn't like about my university.
- The best way is to find a house online on Facebook Marketplace or some other app because agents can sometimes scam you. It is easier if you have some friend or family or some other connection in the city so help you figure out housing and other stuff initially and help you get set in the city. So try to make good connections.

- Huge Campus of Western with great infrastructure and international crowd
- Public transit to and from University really helped me goto classes and back home
- Coursework really helps in professional setup (quiz, materials, videos, ample of resources)
Dislikes
- High fees for international students in Universities
- Coursework can be challenging and takes toll on mental health at times
- Not all courses offer campus placements, from my course only 40% students got campus placement
- I stayed off-campus almost 5Km from campus at Wharncliffe Road North. This has pretty old houses with rent around 600-800 per month for a single room.
- Direct bus to Western University and lots of student accommodations in the area.
- Before landing in Canada, I talked to my then-college junior, who had room available in her house. I eventually lived there for 2 months and found better accommodation nearby.
- Most students find something on the Facebook Marketplace/Kijiji app or through friends.
- The lease is usually 1 year with options to transfer the lease or sublease your room incase you decide to move out early. Preferably go with month-to-month lease options.
- As international students, it is best to live with international students, as it is easier to shop for groceries, handle medical emergencies, manage mental health, and cook. While these do not seem like a priority at first, these basic necessities need attention for the long term.
- Please beware of scams, fraud postings and calls. NEVER give money until completely sure about the whereabouts of the place through online video calls/chats/previous tenants.
- Most owners/landlords do not force you to give money as they have plenty of options. Try finding accommodation that offers transit to university.

- Limited course availability: Depending on the specific program and field of study, certain courses or specialized electives may have limited availability, which can restrict students' ability to explore specific areas of interest.
- Heavy workload and high expectations: Master's programs at Western University can be rigorous and demanding, requiring a significant commitment of time and effort. The workload may sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when balancing coursework, research, and personal commitments.
- Financial constraints: The cost of tuition and living expenses at Western University can be a barrier for some students. Scholarships and funding opportunities may not always be readily available, making it challenging for individuals to finance their education.
My experience at Western University has been truly transformative. I have formed lifelong friendships, gained valuable skills, and developed a strong sense of belonging within the Western community.

- Personally it met a lot of things that I wanted. Location and university criteria wise but also because it was offering a course that intrigued me
- The multi cultural environment and various opportunities available to excel in your interested field. Western and its affiliated colleges provide various courses and programs to choose from.
- Ensure you reserve on them before applying. Overall, the studying and effort comes from an individual, the university only provides a platform to use resources available.
Dislikes
- The fact that distinction between Main Campus and its affiliates is not mentioned explicitly and clearly so ensure to do enough research and apply for the one that suits your need and interest.
- Colleges or universities don't care so social involvement aspect and balance between other responsibilities with study should be cleared before hand and one should learn to balance and prioritize things.
It was a decent learning experience and I learnt and grew but lot of things could be better but its a learning curve and it's different for everyone.

- There are very less number of opportunities for graduate students in terms of clubs, on-campus job. Course with no break
As I wanted to pursue my masters in robotics field, I chose Western University. For admission purpose, I provided my transcripts, and IELTS result. My all the process has been done under the guidance of Canam, Anand branch. Campus is wonderful. It is considered as one of the best university campus. Most of the people are indigenous and Chinese. Campus is equipped with State of the art amenities and peaceful environment.
There were two strong reasons behind choosing the IVEY Business School for undergoing 1 year program in MBA which can be mentioned here :- 1) The Business School is one of its kind which deploys case learning method in every class apart from teaching from the conventional methodology.It helps you to uderstand the contemporary business world and shapes you to take the challenges ahead. 2) The strong alumni network of the Business School across Canada that would help getting desired job. I my opinion , making out for a job in Canada requires a strong alumni connection
I chose this university because it is well known and reputed in Canada for the course I wanted to study keeping in mind the tuition fee as well
I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do in my life. Originally I wanted to be a dermatologist which would give me the freedom of any undergrad. I was originally accepted to all the universities I applied to for bio or biochem (as I loved bio). I got to thinking and knew bio was not a great degree to have if I didn't get into med school. A friend's relative is an actuary and the more she told me about it as well as when I took grade 12 calculus and fell in love with math I knew it was for me. Western was the only of the 4 schools I applied to where my major wasn't set in stone as well they offered me a 10,000 scholarship.
I opted for this college because it is well known in my area and a fantastic option for my location. My older sibling came here first. My admissions average was 85% in my top 6 university-level grade 12 courses. The admission process was easy and I only applied to western universities and affiliating colleges.
